I came in for an Uber vehicle inspection. I recommend an appointment as I came in without one. It took about 1.5hrs to get the inspection done and it was $20. The tech was nice, friendly and helpful.

Great service. The staff working today was very helpful and friendly. Got a free alignment check and tire rotation. They also recommend other services based on how many miles are on my car, but I already did them myself. I would recommend going here if you need your car inspected before spending lots of money on an alignment after getting new tires.

Pep Boys on 4441 Genesee is a "Five Star" auto service shop here in San Diego! This local team has provided exemplary service for my vehicle over the past couple of years. Paul, Ryan and Antonio are consistent in finding honest solutions at a reasonable price. The maintenance team "behind the scenes" has always put me back on the road, knowing that my vehicle is in safe and good working order. I believe this "Five Star" team is the best in town and will provide anyone with the same quality service. "Attentive, Reasonable and Honest" are three descriptors that come to mind with this team. Despite a computer error gave incorrect information on part availability and having to deal with an upset client (me) Shaun put in the effort to acquire the necessary parts as quickly as possible. He acted with integrity and took care of my car to the best of his ability. The mechanic working on the car, Jr. did excellent work replacing the malfunctioning parts. Both of them were a credit to Pep Boys and went above and beyond in customer service.

My low tire pressure light came on and everywhere else was closed at 7pm on a Saturday. They were open and able to help even though they wouldn’t be able to finish it until after they closed. A HUGE thank you getting the nail out of the tire and for fixing it and getting me back on the road. They truly put customers first!

Stopped in to have my tires and car looked at and was helped by an amazing Ryan. He took the time to explain everything to me and provided outstanding service.

I got off from work and realized I had a flat. I was recommended by this Pep Boys from another Pep Boys in El Cajon, since they mentioned this one closed a bit later than they usually do. Gave them a call and thankfully they were willing to take me in, although they were about to close. Very nice customer service, quick and efficient.

My husband and I don’t go anywhere else! Our oil changing services are done in a reasonable amount of time and at a great rate. This was my first time purchasing tires since first time replacing on my vehicle and I took advantage of their Black Friday sale buy two get two! They include a complimentary full inspection of vehicle to determine your vehicles needs and thankful they do because my front brake pads needed replaced. I was able to use a coupon out of the many coupons available on their website to get a discount. I highly recommend Pep Boys Clairemont/Genesee as the customer service is an added bonus.

Riley and the team were especially helpful and took the time to explain what I needed! I went in for an oil change and ended up needing my brakes replaced as well. They informed me of the different coupons/deals that were going on and did the maintenance in a timely manner. Thank you!!! Highly recommend.

Riley was communicative and helpful. Made me feel comfortable and taken care of. Probably one of the better experiences I've had at the mechanics. Didn't feel anxious or confused whatsoever. Came in with a leaky tire and quickly found out that a lot of work needed to be done on my car. Antonio was incredibly helpful and not only went through a clear cost breakdown, but also took me back into the shop and showed me exactly where all the damage was. He also gave me the essential “need to fix now” list and the “important but not a priority” list to help me figure out what I needed to do, and on top of that found a different tire brand that was much more affordable. Really appreciate his help and couldn’t recommend Antonio and the Genessee Pep Boy’s more. Hector also did great work on the fix! Great staff both in the front of the shop and the back.

Paul worked his butt off to make sure the tires I wanted got here and installed same day. Huge shoutout. Also Tony was a great help when I brought my car and gave me great advice on my car

Had the absolute best experience of my life here! After getting a flat on New Years, and calling upwards of 20 different tire repair shops, Pep boys was the only one that was open. Ryan answered my call and helped me in no time. It literally took 5 minutes for them to replace my valve stem. Ryan and Sean were absolute saints!!

So we happened to get a flat while we were visiting San Diego during the weekend. Unfortunately it happened it the evening when most of the shops were closed. We finally found that Pep Boys were open and we drove down and there was an agent named Riley who immediately looked into the issue and went beyond to help us and get it sorted within 15min.

I was traveling and had an emergency need for some repairs(headlights). Antonio took great care of me not only repairing the headlights and also finding some other necessary repairs, brakes and power steering fluid. Not only that but he respected I needed to be in and out very quickly due to a wedding later in the day. My hat’s off to Antonio and the whole team!!! Thank you!

Always a great experience at the Clairemont, San Diego - Pep Boys location. Let's be honest car troubles and car maintenance isn't the most fun thing in the world, and truthfully it can often lead to frustration and dipping deep into your wallet. I am however grateful that Pep Boys Clairemont has a very kind and knowledgeable team, they never make me feel like I am being ripped off, and the work is always done right.

I got flat tire in the evening all the shops was closed after 6pm. Thanks the guys works till 8pm, and the fix was pretty quick. Good and fast service!
