We got an impressive deal on our flights including an upgrade that we could not have found ourselves, received invaluable assistance on planning our itinerary and activities, and enjoyed the peace of mind while traveling of knowing there was someone back home who would help us if we ran into any trouble. With both my husband and I habitually working long hours, having help with the planning was so critical to being able to really just enjoy the experience and not stress out over the details. When I wanted to take my first cruise in over 25 years, Portal World Travel recommended a cruise on Princess Cruise Line’s Golden Princess to Alaska right out of San Francisco. No flying to Seattle or Vancouver and enough “down time” at sea to get me unplugged from the work-a-day world. They found me the perfect balcony cabin at a price that I thought was unbelievable. The cruise ship they chose had excellent food, excellent entertainment, and it provided a remarkably smooth sailing experience. And the shore excursions they booked for me were small, intimate private tours with only a handful of other travelers. All in all, it was a remarkable and memorable trip. I will definitely be using Portal World Travel for my future travel needs both pleasure and business.

I recently had the pleasure working with JoAnn through the complexities of changing my existing airline ticket, not just once but on several occasions. There were many obstacles she had to overcome with the carrier throughout this process, and I was truly grateful and impressed with her dedication, perseverance and expertise. JoAnn works hard to make sure that my travel preferences were met, and she takes the extra step to ensure excellent customer service. Her expertise coordinating and finding the perfect flight saved me much frustration and headache -- she even found better deals by constantly keeping up with the latest travel news and specials. JoAnn and her staff were there every step of the way, anticipating needs, checking on details, and rapidly responding -- she gave me peace of mind and confidence that someone was on my side. I arranged a flight to Rome with JoAnn Giovanonni, a representative of Portal World Travel recently. I was on a tight budget, but with flexible dates, and for fifteen minutes or so, JoAnn efficiently checked perhaps all possible flight combinations from various airports. She searched departures from San Jose, and San Francisco, and we moved the flight dates around multiple times. In the end, JoAnn found a fantastic deal for me, which was both convenient and low in price.  I highly recommend her service and the agency for their knowledge, and commitment to find the best deals for your trip.

We used Portal World Travel to book our trip to Ireland and Spain. JoAnn and Nancy were great!!! To Ireland we were traveling with a group of 11 people from several different states and JoAnn and Nancy spent countless hours organizing our trip so everything went smoothly. In Spain JoAnn recommended a local Catalan hotel that was our perfect oasis - H10 Montcada hotel was centrally located to attractions and the Metro with a roof top bar overlooking the city. When we arrived to the hotel they welcomed us by opening a bottle of Cava upon check in . What a great trip- thanks JoAnn and Nancy!! We would definitely use Portal World Travel again and recommend it to family and friends.
