After an insurance hiccup, I can say I received the best guidance and care of my adult life. No one can top Customer Service Star Beatriz, an outstanding young woman working the front desk. I’m young and on my own so things like insurance and appointments are things that give me massive anxiety and today I felt none of that, comforted by her easygoing nature and true kindness. She researched and solved my insurance issue FOR ME - ownership of an issue that really should’ve been my responsibility from the beginning. It was my first visit here and the dental work is extremely thorough in comparison to other practices I have been to. I feel confident about the future of my dental health with it in their hands. Dr. Mooney was fabulous and efficient, and Michelle was also easy going and just a joy to have as my hygienist, making simple jokes and further easing my nerves. I can’t recommend this practice enough!

Great dentist Dr “B” Mooney is fantastic, I’d still be going there if they still accepted my insurance. Terrified of dental work but Dr. Mooney was always kind courteous and professional. Wish I could still go there but unfortunately cost outweighs desire :(.

I have to say this review is long overdue. I have been a patient, on and off, since 2003 and definitely recommend LHFD. I moved to the Washington DC area in 2004 and have traveled back to have many cleanings and work done over the last 20 years. The doctors are highly skilled and do fine work. I had my wisdom teeth taken out in 2020 from a surgeon in Alexandria, VA. My recovery was awful, I suffered in pain for months with no recourse from the surgeon in VA. I finally called LHFD and drove up to CT for care. Dr. B took great care of me and was able to treat my pain. His care and concern was genuine and I am grateful. Recently, I convinced my timid mother to visit. She needed some work done, but was petrified. She had her cleaning and the treatment plan was pending, she finally made the appointment and had the work done yesterday. She called me after and was so happy that she went. She said, "Dr. B is wonderful, he made me comfortable and I didn't feel a thing." She expressed her gratitude towards Christina, too. She said she was a fantastic assistant that made her feel less nervous through the procedure and at times even held her hand to give her a little confidence that she needed. It made me happy to know that my mom was taken care of so wonderfully when I couldn't be there with her to get her through the appointment. Much appreciation for many years of great care, LHFD!

My 6yo daughter is a very challenging patient and needed a tooth extracted. We are also new to the area and picked LHFD based on recommendations. All of our experiences have gone above and beyond what we expected-from their customer service to the actual procedure. Everyone is friendly and professional and the office is extremely neat and sanitary. Dr. Mooney was wonderful with my daughter and her assistant's are equally wonderful. Bedside manner and compassion are their priority, I highly recommend.

Litchfield Hills Family Dental Practice is the best dental office I have ever been to. The office is beautiful, well landscaped and extremely welcoming. Dr. Bola Mooney is amazing with children, very gentle, patient and caring. Not only does she make sure the practice is running effectively like clockwork she takes the time to get to know her patients on a personal level and treats everyone with care and respect. Dr. Brian Mooney is a brilliant doctor, his work is exemplary and meticulous I am constantly getting compliments on my teeth and it is thanks to these two doctors. This is truly a warm family practice. Everyone should go here!

I had 2 appointments (wisdom tooth extraction + a difficult cavity filled) recently at Litchfield Hills Family Dental and I was so impressed with both experiences! The staff was really friendly and Dr. Mooney did an excellent job! Not only does Dr. Mooney have a great sense of humor to help put you at ease, he also does impeccable workmanship! His assistant Lisa was also very friendly and comforting! Five stars!

I can’t say enough about the team at Litchfield Hills Family Dental. Ease of making appts, on-time appts, attention to detail, caring and friendly service, and I now have beautiful, pain free teeth! What I truly value, aside from expertise (Dr Mooney is the best I’ve ever had work done by) is the way they make you feel from start to finish. Nothing but good things to say.

After a truly disappointing / horrible experience with one of the large "big box" dental offices in Torrington, I called LHFD. From first contact with Leslie, to everyone in the office, I have the highest regard for Dr. Mooney and his staff. Having dental "phobia" all of my life, dental work is likely my very least favorite thing. But they all made it a great experience and did a wonderful job, and moved their own schedules around to take care of me. AND, a mutual regard for Led Zeppelin had Dr. Mooney prepare a personal sound track for my subsequent scheduled appointment! Now that's going above and beyond! The best of the best. No question. 5 stars.

I've been searching for a new dentist for awhile. Dr. Mooney came highly recommended by a friend. Very friendly and professional staff, extremely clean office and state of the art technology. What more could you ask for?! It was a very pleasant experience and my teeth have never felt so clean! 5 stars!

This was only my second visit to this dentist. I am highly impressed with the way in which he filled my cavity. It was very fast and painless. They made me feel extremely comfortable. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend Dr. Mooney for your dental work.

Before moving to Litchfield Hills Family Dental, our family was using 3 separate dental offices. We had one office for our kids, and my wife and I had long standing relationships with different dental practices. In search of a better option, we surveyed friends to find a dental office that could make everyone happy. Based on strong recommendations, we brought the family to Litchfield Hills to see Doctors Bola and Brian Mooney, and have finally found an office that everyone loves! Our family of 4 has used many of their services, including regular cleanings and fillings, Invisalign for my wife, wisdom teeth removal for me (all 4 at once!), pulling stubborn baby teeth, and fixing several cracks from grinding. Honestly, every procedure has been painless and easy, even the wisdom teeth, and visits to the dentist are completed without complaints from anyone. I recommend Litchfield Hills Family Dental often, and have always received rave reviews.

They're compassionate perfectionists, demonstrating concern for all aspects of their work : medical, aesthetic, and patient comfort. Kudos to the entire staff! Beautiful state of the art offices.

This is a Terriffic practice! I had an urgent need for a root care; my dentistry site only has an endodontist there one day a week and could not accommodate an appointment for me for at least 4 to 6 weeks. They told me to find an endodontist closer to where I lived. Offered no assistance or referral names. I found Litchfield Hills Family Dental thru a Google search. I have driven by many times and always found it to be an attractive practice site where it's located. I was thrilled to see the great reviews, to see that there was an endodontist on site, and when I called I could've been given an appointment the next day but due to my schedule I couldn't accommodate it and they saw me within 48 hours. This is a full-service family practice dental site with endodontic service as well! The office suite is beautiful! Dr."B" Mooney has a great personality. His team is outstanding. I've never Experienced such courteous service from beginning to end. A+ + for this group. I work in healthcare myself and quality service is so essential. I am super impressed and plan to transfer my care.
