Mahalo's Coffee & Mini Donuts

The donuts are AMAZING. So light and fluffy with the perfect toppings. There was one guy when we went and he greeted us upon entry and was very friendly when taking our order and bringing out the donuts. Very cute decor, we sat by the door in the comfy chairs. We had the Cinnamon Lava (my favorite), Northshore Sprinkles, S’more Shoreline, and Strawberry (forgot the actual name but these were my boyfriend’s favorite)

10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys donuts, will have to go back to try a coffee or drink soon!

Cute coffee shop with ample parking. I ordered the fit frappe and 6-ct donuts. I will say it did take 15 minutes and I counted 7 workers with only 2 people ahead of me. However, the miniature donuts were delicious. They’re basically fried dough with different toppings poured over top. The these was really cute being Hawaiian, complete with the umbrella for the presentation. Probably not an every day coffee shop place but once in a while to treat yourself or take the kids out for a unique experience!

The coffee is really good! It was nice to see atypical syrups for the coffees as well. I got a banana latté and it was amazing! I also really love how light and airy the mini-doughnuts are. We got the standard cinnamon and sugar and spoiled ourselves with the sea-salted caramel. Soooo good and I don't even like sweets. Also, the staff here is SO NICE!!!

Best coffee and breakfast place in West Des Moines! The service was super nice. Coffee was excellent, sandwich was perfect and the fresh made donuts were heavenly. They can get very busy so plan accordingly... But for sure make them part of your breakfast game!

This is one cozy and cute cafe that has a Hawaiian touch to it. Their mini donuts stood out for me. They’re freshly made, the flavours are too too good and just melt in your mouth. Do not miss to try their salted apple and blueberry donuts they just leave you drooling. Their coffees and shakes are next level. I love their vanilla latte. This is also an amazing place for kids. It’s too cute.

New favorite coffee place! Saw the special posted on the front door and decided to try it out. my large mocha was a bit pricey, but very good, along with the free cinnamon, sugar donuts! However the Hawaiian music was a bit much, but matched the cozy atmosphere nonetheless. Will come back!

Not only are there donuts made fresh, they taste amazing, fluffy and they have a great selection. Mango Tropical freeze is pretty good too. We had these guys cater our wedding and everyone loved them. Tron was great to deal with.

I love this place so much like my kids love it and i do too. I like love they’re like mini like donuts. My husband loves like coming here for a quick bite to eat before work. I love their coffee my kids love the mini donuts. My great Grandmother just recently died from bruhest cancer and this is like my comfort place and food. Thank you for an amazing experience. I tell my family about this place all the time!

Friendly and accommodating service. They allowed me to sample their coffee blends, which all taste great! I decided on an iced Kona blend. Loved the coffee ice cubes! Had their Mahalo sandwich without a bun, they offered to cut it up for easy consumption but I said that wasn't necessary. Wifi is available to be able to work remotely. Relaxing atmosphere to get tasks done. Great spot for a quick bite, a meet up spot, or just get away from the same day to day environment.

Absolutely amazing if you are ever in West Des Moines and you love donuts. This is the place to be. Service and Food was really good 👍

I just got a delivery so I haven't been to this place in person, but I can't wait to visit!! The island style doughnuts are little fluffy clouds of deliciousness and the drink (black rock, iced) complimented them with some bitterness (the good coffee kind of bitterish taste). Anyways, I was super happy to find this place and will be back as soon as possible!

A slice of the islands right in West Des Moines! Love the atmosphere inside! Feels like you are in a little cafe on vacation! Loved the apple mini donuts and iced black tea! Great place to catch up with a friend or business coffee meeting!

Absolutely amazing place. Donuts were warm and fresh. Kiddo and I ordered iced coffees- the ice was made with coffee to keep it from watering down the other coffee! Honey donuts and maple bacon donuts were just out of this world. Pricey for all of this, but SOOOOOO WORTH IT. Plan to be regulars here. A++!

In town visiting and found them online with high ratings for coffee. Iced lattes were delish and the ice cubes were coffee ice cubes- brilliant! Also picked up freshly made mini donuts in a few flavors to bring home to the kids, amazing! Will be back tomorrow before leaving town!

These donuts are absolutelt amazing! They are light and fluffy and remind us of funnel cakes, kind of. The topping combos are delicious. Their live donut making at our event will be absolutely perfect! The owners are so friendly and easy to work with, too! We will definitely return!

Yummy little donuts! They make them fresh, so there is no waste. They are really small, so I would recommend getting either 12 or 24 to share. They also sell breakfast sandwiches and a lot of coffee beverages and regular drinks. Come early as they close in the afternoon.

It was like a little trip back to Hawaii...which I came back from a month ago. Passing through while visiting Iowa and found this gem. Highly recommend because of great coffee, food, and service.
