Howells Greenhouse and Pumpkin Patch

First time visiting Howells and my fiancé
and I had so much fun! This place is for anyone, from little kids to seniors, there's something for everyone. They have THE BEST pumpkins and such fun activities. Definitely coming back again in the future.

We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't quite so crowded. Weather was perfect and there was plenty to keep us busy for a few hours. We really enjoyed the pumpkin cannon and the bounce pads.

It was a beautiful fall day and they have expanded the fun things for kids. So many things to do. Different colors of pumpkins to pick from. And the mums are stunning. I was pleasantly surprised that they still have the dried flowers upstairs in the barn.

Our family LOVES this place! The bathtub train ride is always a favorite. They have a pumkin cannon, corn cannon, zip-line, pony rides, hay rack rides, and more. Can't say enough good things about it. Truly a treasure!

I don't have much pumpkin patch experience, but this lined up with the dream I had in mind for a beautiful fall day. Loved the atmosphere, the calm but busy crowd of happy people, and all the activities. Also, amazing kettle corn. Need to stock up!

A very entertaining opportunity not to be missed. Perfect place for family outing and friends gathering. There's always something fun and rewarding to do and enjoy for everyone regardless of the age whether it's sightseeing, animals petting and feeding, sliding, ziplining or pumpkins picking.

Our family had a great time. Only down fall was 1 1/2 hr wait time for the zip line but in the end it was worth it. The food/drink lines were very long. And a great time on the tub train, never have rode in a tub before, but it was fun! Well worth the money. And enjoyed petting the goats.

Very exciting!! A very fun place to go, specially in spooky halloween👻! The place has 2 crazy cannons, one for corn and another one for pumpkins. The corn maze was incredible, it's large and can get easily lost (which is the fun part).

Overall a great place to go, with some beautiful gardening and animals.

Lots of activities for the kids & adults. Hold, pet, feed goats & a few sheep, wagon & bathtub rides, corn pit, playground, zip line, pumpkin & corn cannons, bounce mat, greenhouse, gift shop. A little pricey though, especially if u have a bigger family. Nice area, easy to get to. Busiest I had ever seen it today!

Great time today. I had an apple cider cherry slushy so delicious 😋 Loved the tractor ride and all the flowers. Excellent sale in the greenhouse right now on succulents!

Me and my partner bought tickets online and went near the end of October. For the $15 each ($18 if you buy tickets there), you get access to the grounds, which include a corn pool, Goat pens, greenhouses, obstacle course, jump pads, zip lines, corn maze, pumpkin patch, and many more surprises. The prices for the additional things were very reasonable, with goat food being a dollar, and 4 shots of corn out of a cannon being three dollars (we got 6 since it was the end of the day and end of the harvest season.) The tractor ride over to the corn maze and pumpkin patch was beautiful, as we passed flower fields and the corn field (the sunflowers were dead, but obviously, theyre a summer crop and it was well into fall). Overall, it was very fun, I wish we got there earlier in the day.

We had a good time, went on a weekday so crowds were super low which was nice. Spent about 1.5 hrs but could have easily spent another 30-40. I would assume weekend crowds have more little kids there so it was nice that there wasn’t many kids (which can get annoying) during the weekday and mostly just adult/teen couples. Just a fun vibe throughout with small stuff to do and good photo spots

Fairly priced at $15 online tickets and close to west Des Moines. Didn’t want to drive 40 min and pay $27 for center grove

Our morning at Howell’s was perfect! $6 to cuddle the most precious creatures you can imagine for as long as you like! Each goat wore a colorful name tag—so cute. There’s also a hayrack ride, a gift shop, and a gorgeous field of sunflowers for photos. We will definitely be back each year when we visit the area for the Hinterland music festival. We’re obsessed with Howells. The family pass is the way to go if you plan on going out more than a few times. So much to do and has the best prices around!

Such a great place! We love it here and the staff is wonderful. We tell everyone about it. Great place to unwind or take stress away for few hours. Short drive from west Des Moines and easy to find. Please check them out for yourself.

Loved as they had a ton of stuff to do for my kids! They had a blast! I have two 3 year olds and one 17 year old and they all had a lot of fun.

Love this place! Super family friendly. I went with my husband and 19 month year old son. We had a lot of fun feeding the goats, riding the tractor and running around the open play area!

The family that runs the farm is very friendly and helpful! There was a good variety of vegetable and flower plants to choose from. We also enjoyed feeding the goats, and playing on the swings

Had a wonderful time with our children and grandchildren. Great variety of activities. Lunch was delicious. Taking precautions for Covid but didn't interfere with the fun.

Super fun every year. They have so much to do for ALL ages. A great family activity.
