Clare and Miles Mills Rose Garden

The most beautiful and exquisitely looking park in Iowa. Makes Central Park in NY look like trash! I love the articulatly pruning on the roses, the open space at the outdoor amphitheater and clean restrooms. Would love to volunteer there!

The Clare and Miles Mills Rose Garden was a beautiful, peaceful location for our outdoor wedding ceremony in October 2022! The Des Moines Parks and Recreation was also easy to work with in regards to reservation and permits.

Love taking my dog on the wooded trails. the rest of the park is beautiful too. I like this park so much that I drive 20 minutes both ways multiple times a week to go there.

It is a beautiful place, well maintained. We strolled around the garden, looking at the rose's names. It was a little early , so the roses weren't blooming yet. Still a very serene place. There are a few benches and two picnic tables to sit at. There is plenty of parking in a designated lot close by.

One of Des Moines treasures. Such a beautiful places in the spring, summer, and fall. Love this place so much that my wife and I decided to get married here.

Peaceful as heck. Flowers are plentiful. Stone eggs are also present in the desired quantity. Benches are also present. Soil can be found as well. Lay in the grass, head upturned, and you will find ample clouds also.

Lived next door to Claire and Miles Mills for several years! We loved and learned so much from them about gardening and life.
