Cute, little dive. Space is kind of limited. Order at the bar. Service is pretty quick. Staff is really nice. The lighting is fun! Looks like there's a patio area for when it's nice out!

Have you ever walked into a busy bar and been relieved to find a quiet corner you could retreat to? Well too bad because this place has deceptive mirrors and drink prices that haven’t budged since 2006.

Had a good time with friends, staff was friendly and have AMAZING patience. It got crowed quickly, with a very diverse crowd. Definitely meet some interesting people. Ella and the other bartender (didn't catch his name but he was a big guy with a beard) are probably some of the most efficient bartenders I ever saw in action. You guys rock! 5 STARS

The D.J. in the lower level of Beechwood was incredible and kept the party going at a high energy level!! Drinks were flowing, ladies dancing and the guys were mingling!! I wish it was open til 3!

Always packed. Drinks are average as far as inner city prices go, the bar tenders aren't very nice to people they don't know however they get the job done, which is pouring drinks. Great place for a quick drink before going downtown or pre gaming for a birthday party or sporting event.

It's really nice that the parking lot is right next to the building and it wasn't hard finding parking. The building is very narrow and long making it difficult to walk through when it gets busy.

My favorite patio to drink and relax at in all of Des Moines. The crowd is usually fun and friendly, and it’s never dead here, even on weeknights.

One of the best patios in DSM - even if it’s in a parking lot - trust me on this. Awesome happy hour. The inside bar is beautiful and cozy with a downstairs that’s a perfect rent-out for a birthday bash, etc. A gem in Des Moines, a crown gem in the EV.

Great bar with an awesome patio when the sun is shining. I really like that you can sit inside, with a classic bar feel, or get out in the sun and enjoy that also.

Every time I'm here, I have a good time. Atmosphere is great. Very sociable crowd every time. Can be a tight fit on a busy weekend but highly recommended.
