New Oriental Food Store

This is a neat market with many foods & items from all over Asia. I found ingredients that I haven't found at other Asian markets, and the staff are very friendly & helpful. It's worth a visit if you like cooking Asian cuisine or want to try something new. Parking is limited, on the street, and metered. We had to park a block away, but it was worth the walk!

This place is dope. Wide selection of items given the size of the store. They have organic natto, which is VERY difficult to find elsewhere.

This is my favorite Asian market in the area. I can always find what I'm looking for, particularly enoki mushrooms and miso for many Japanese dishes. Seasonal produce is also fun, you never know what you may find. The prices are much more reasonable than shopping for Asian grocery items online. The staff is very friendly and always remembers us when we stop in.

Very nice owner! Kind lady who takes care of her customers. I got a whole rice cake for 2 dollars! So many good deals and a wonderful array of new things to look at.

This is the only place I can get my calpico. The lady who runs it is super nice and they have tons of other things, too. Always stop in when we are in Des Moines. Nice to see that the boards have finally come off the windows.

Really fun and well organized. Went on a mission to get some essentials and when we were done she held our bags behind the register while we browsed the rest of the store. Five stars for great quality, value and customer service.

I found some canned vegan meats here and tried one that was similar to chicken, I think it's just gluten but it was tasty!

Went here with a friend to pick up some ramen. They have a good selection of ramen and great selection of bowls, spoons, and other eating utensils. The staff was very nice and helpful.

They have had everything we have been looking for in an Asian Market. The woman who presumably owns it is wonderful, kind and helpful.
The products are all great and at a good price. It isn't just Americanized snacks or even just things that are popular here. It's a full store filled with new things to discover and cook.

Very helpful lady... huge variety of different things....lots and lots of good choices!! everything that we needed all in one stop,very helpful for small town people like us that don't have the options. We drove 25 miles but it was worth it

Love this store - so convenient plus, super delish Spring Rolls - four huge ones for $5 - can't beat that! Bought a gorgeous indoor/outdoor rug for under $36. Today, bought Spring Rolls, 1/2lb of jasmine tea, an infuser, and a package of yummy coconut cookies all for $13. Fresh herbs, dried spices, noodles, frozen foods - so much goodness here!

My favorite. I have to visit this store everytime I'm in town. They are well stocked with everything I could possibly need or want. My favorite Oriental staples, snacks, foods, cookware, dinnerware, drinks, personal care, etc.

Great store. Rice of all different types. Fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs available. Ramen and cookies. Sauces and oils and spices and teas available. They also carry a large selection of Asian dishware. Cold drinks of American and Asian origin. Frozen fish and other ocean harvests.

My family loves the jackfruit salad.

After 4 stops at traditional grocery stores near my home I came to this location in search of miso paste. I wandered the store and was impressed with the selection of products. After a few minutes I was asked if I needed help and they helped me locate the miso paste. I should have known, but the quality of the paste in our meal was better than anything we had purchased at a standard grocery store. I can't wait to bring my wife back with me again!
