Pleasant Hill Diner

Amazing!! I've driven by this place 100 times and today went in. Food, service, prices amazing. Love the Retro 50's vibe as well. Will be a return customer alot.

When my granddaughter and I travel, mostly to dog shows, we always like to eat at local restaurants. I told her to look for a diner for breakfast. We ended up at the Pleasant Hill Diner which was perfect! The breakfast was just what we were looking for at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and efficient. Décor was great, enjoyed the music, exactly what you think a diner should look like.

Honestly some of the best burgers and fries I've eaten. I love the environment, from the decor to the jukebox the atmosphere is fun and lively. The workers are real people and I've never heard a negative thing from anyone! This an amazing restaurant, I always enjoy my time here.

We celebrated a big win at the dog show at this diner. Our table of 8 got incredible service. Allison, our server, never made us wait for a refill and our food came out quickly

Came here for the first time and I must say I am not disappointed!! The retro atmosphere and unique decor gives cozy vibes. The food was absolutely delicious. I could tell everything was fresh and homemade, the veggies in my omelette with perfectly portioned with the ham and egg. I’m definitely coming back here!

My fiancé and I went for the first time to grab a late brunch and really enjoyed this diner.

The diner was clean, we were greeted & seated immediately, and our waitress (Kaylee) was excellent. She has a great sense of humor and checked in with us often.

The coffee was actually good - and I’m used to coffee in diners being terrible!

The food was fantastic. I have the ham skillet and the peppers, mushrooms, and onions tasted fresh. All eggs were cooked to perfection. I had chocolate chip pancakes, too, and they were wonderful.

The atmosphere is very fun - 50s diner themed. They have small model cars in a display cabinet, and a jukebox.

We will absolutely be returning! This is now our favorite diner in central Iowa!

Food was great, service was spot on. Always wanted to stop in because the building looks nostalgic. It didn't disappoint inside. They serve breakfast all day! I will be a repeat customer

I love this restaurant.. I wish more people knew about it! It's like a hidden gem! Delicious food and affordable prices! I pray this place will be very successful and always stay open! The 1950's decor is so beautiful!! The decor does not need to be changed or upgraded!.. the 1950's decor makes it unique and special! Don't ever change that please! I love the atmosphere and the location of this restaurant!

Been here multiple times, the good is always delicious with good portions for the price. Service is always top notch and with a smile. You feel like you're a friend of the family everytime you're here. There's not too many places like this anymore, and I can't wait to go in again. Hungryman omlette with rye toast for the win.

Came here today with my bestie for breakfast and I was not disappointed. Food was absolutely delicious, with excellent portion sizes. Service was phenomenal as well. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in town.

Food was pretty good! 👍 A good amount for the price. We ordered a Philly cheese steak, tenderloin, bacon cheeseburger and a House club.

Been here several times, each time the food has been really good, decent sized helpings, our waitress was quite pleasant and looked out for our needs.

Old style '50s diner with great decor and good prices. The food comes fast! Super good short-order grill food. My wife and I eat there frequently and have always had a good experience.

It's location is excellent on the north side of major highway University Avenue and Highway 65 bypass in the quiet community of Pleasant Hill.

Open 7 days a week until 8 every night. We have only been there for dinner; and everything we ever tried was great.

Ask for extra extra crispy fries? They provide you a giant pile of 'em!

Real good food. Had the patty melt. Could have had more onions but it was good. The fries were delicious.

All around great. Tasty food / filling portions in an authentic diner. Impressive service. Loved it.
