Uptown Bar & Grill

Great food, drinks, and service at a small local bar and grill. Daily specials that can't be missed, including the mushroom and Swiss burger pictured. I had the Cowboy burger and it was tasty. The ranch is top-notch, and what Iowan doesn't love ranch! They also create a few other delicious sauces, including their Uptown sauce that was perfect with the onion rings. My only critique would be that the burgers were a little more well done than I prefer which made them a touch dry. But great quality beef. Staff were attentive and explained all the specials and options. It is a typical bar and grill layout with tables as well as a large wrap around bar.

Best sausage sandwich, won't be disappointed. BLT and Reuben excellent as well, as good as it gets.

Truly the most welcoming place- the staff, the people are all the best you can ask for. The food is 10/10, and you can’t go wrong with any burger on the menu. Bust most of all, the environment and the staff are incredible.

My daughter and I went after her soccer game and got there right when they opened on Saturday. The food was great. She had the fried shrimp and I had a cheese quesadilla. Our server, Sam was very nice and even recommended a place for us to get our nails done because we had time to kill before we drove to our next hotel in Cedar Rapids.
We liked the fact they had board games too for their customers to play. We played a game of Sorry before we left, which sadly I did not win.

Visited on a Sat afternoon to take a lunch break from girls softball. Fast service, food was hot and prices very reasonable.

This restaurant outperforms all expectations. They just produce some great home cooked meals.

I dont usually order chicken sandwiches because places don't trim the fat. But the chicken sandwich was delicious here! And my husband had the burger which he said was really good!

1st time here. Great little local dive place with nice people and excellent burgers. They have daily specials and they have board games and card decks available to use - we played a quick card game while waiting for our food. There are a few arcade games and a pool table. Will definitely be back again.

Burgers are some of the best around and their homemade ranch is the best I've ever had. This is the only place I always get the ranch and is what I compare all others to. Breakfast is also really good. My only complaint would be that they aren't always staffed appropriately with one bartender to take care of the bar, seating area, and to-go orders. I would also say it's a bar first so I probably wouldn't bring children to eat after say 8pm.

Hot burger was great. Blue burger equally great. It was a Friday night. 7pm. Waitress warned it would be a wait for food. We were in no hurry and the food arrived in less than 30 minutes and it was great! Waitress was amazing.

I came into Uptown Bar & Grill with my assistant manager and employee to try out their burgers. I haven't been able to eat another burger anywhere else without missing the favor that they have here. Burgers are half a pound of meat and taste like they are made from home. I actually came here 3 days in a row during our lunch break. Definitely recommend coming here for the drinks and the amazing food!

First time stopping-Amazing food.. we had the cattleman’s burger & uptown burger. Friendly & attentive service. We will definitely be back!

Damm I haven't had food that good in a while.

They have great food and are very nice. I would recommend this place to everyone.
