Not really what we expected when we got there but the interior doesn't make the food taste good. Place isn't big, more of a bar feel then anything but it was clean and nice. Our waitress was super nice and gave us time to place our order and checked on us throughout our meal. The onion rings tasted like standard frozen rings imo wasnt worth the $7.99 but they were still good. Both burgers were amazing and juicy! Will definitely go back to try their other items.

We were visiting from Texas, and have tasted lots of great burgers. Had the mustang burger and the black and blue burger with fries. I am gluten intolerant and they accommodated my allergy by no season on the burger or fries( fried in same oil as other items but has little effect on me). Even without the seasonings this is hands down one of the BEST burgers I've ever had!!! It was super delicious and we are so glad we stopped in for lunch! Thanks to the great waitress and the caring chef!

It's just about the friendliest place we've been to yet. The food was great, I had the mushroom burger and fries, and they were the best fries I've had in a LONG time.. we started with fried pickles and fried cheese curds cause we couldn't decide , they were both great! My husband had the Bleu burger and really enjoyed it. Fresh ingredients are not brought in by Sysco ( a rare treat).
We will definitely come back next time we are in Grimes.. quite a little gem this place is..

Had a great lunch here all by myself! The owners are super nice and engaging in conversation. The tenderloin was excellent. I ate it too fast to take a picture. Will definitely be back!

The food is amazing. Excellent pulled pork, brisket and smoked chicken! We are never, ever disappointed. Best peach cobbler! Owners are so nice and friendly.

Best ribs that I have ever had. Great service, the cook and the owner really make you feel welcome and like family. Everything on there menu is down home cooking, and there ribs are the bomb, they smoke them everyday out on there on there back patio

The owners are super friendly and the food was fantastic! We were there for breakfast but have heard amazing things about their smoked meats. Can't wait to go back and try those!!

WOW! Step into this humble local bar and appreciate the classic local sports decor. The apple crisp is so good, I are half of it before I could take the picture. The owner and staff is friendly and have great costumer service. Our group enjoyed all our food, especially the house dipping sauce. Be sure to ask for some extra!

We came in town for a volleyball tournament and were looking for a place that could host 30-40 people after 8pm on a Saturday night. Even though the regular hours said that they closed at 8pm, the waitress and cook said that they would stay open just for our party. They went above and beyond to take care of our party as quickly and as nicely as possible. The food was excellent and the drinks were poured as soon as the orders were taken. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to use your building on short notice. You helped us out in a time of need. And a great big "Thank you!" to the waitress and the cook that stayed after hours on a weekend night to serve a big group of people from out of town!

Do not pass this place up , everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious.
Staff was awesome and that cook can grill one heck of a burger. We will definitely be coming back

I had a meeting with a manager and looked up a close place to eat and found this spot. I was pleasantly surprised with the food and the cook actually came out and asked how everything was. I'll be going back and would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been.

Excellent food! Ice tea freshly brewed each day. One person in my party had bbq brisket and Mac/ cheese, which she said was excellent and chef told us they smoke onsite. Mac and cheese was creamy and well seasoned. Another member of party had the tacos special. Large tortilla soft shells and nicely seasoned taco meat inside. Both people took food home due to large portions. Will eat here again when in the area.

We had a great time at Mustang - the owner was there when we showed up and talked to us about their options and highlights for a bit. It wasn’t super busy which was surprising because the food was great & definitely wasn’t anymore expensive than the next place. Will be going back! Cheers

Had a good lunch. I enjoyed my Reuben sandwich that was recommended by our server. My wife said the wings were the best she has had in over a year. The place had just the right amount of historic location with functional modern. (The bathroom was even modern and clean.)

Food was great! We went in with our softball team so it got busy real fast. If any mistakes were made, which were only a couple, it was corrected immediately. The staff were great! Would stop again. Thank you.

Hubby had the tenderloin sandwich today. It was amazing! No gristle and fried to a crisp golden brown outside and moist meat inside. I had the black and blue burger. Blue cheese melted and running down the sides of the burger-Yummy! Great service, great food. Easy to find locale. Wished I lived in the area so this could be our regular ‘go to’ place.

Great first experience! Owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious and made us feel right at home. Also, the prices were very reasonable, will definitely make this a new regular date night!

We go here for Awesome Lunch Fridays, but I could eat here every day. It's great for meeting people, or taking the family out. Joe does a great job and I've always had a good experience with him and the wait staff.
