Trattoria da Vittorio

I was on my way out to Westlake...to have an Italian dinner at that other place with my old pal Vito Boscombi, and he tells me "Hey! Don't make me shoot you in the leg, but if we want really good Pollo Parmigiano like Nona made...we go to Trattoria da Vittorio..Capifce!
Well, I wasn't going to argue with Vito because he knows better than me who has the best Italian food in the city. And, I'll tell you what...he was right, I got it without the red sauce and had some amazing ravioli with the Chicken Parmigiana...5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Just had an incredible catering experience. Antonio and the team took great care of us, we would definitely use them again.

We were looking for a lunch spot around the zoo when we came across this place. We got here and were immediately greeted and seated. We chose to sit outside, so we didn’t see much of the inside. Service was prompt and attentive. My husband got a pizza and I got the chicken Parmesan. Both of us enjoyed our food immensely. The portions were large and I had plenty to take home. The next time we come to San Francisco we will definitely try to come by again!

Very good italian cuisine. We order the spaghetti and meatballs. It tastes very good and the meatballs are perfect according to my taste.. we also ordered the pizza.. it taste good too.. And don't forget to order the tiramisu and profiteroles for thr dessert..

We have been here several times and we are always extremely satisfied. The service is great, the food is amazing, the wine pours are generous, the outdoor seating is comfortable and the bathroom is clean.

Fresh ingredients. Fantastic service. Definitely a restaurant to go back to. Favorites were the pizza, eggplant parmigiana, ox tail pasta and the fried Nutella and tiramisu dessert was great too.

Very great food and great staff. Very busy inside as usual on a Saturday night, however the waiter did a great job and food still came out high quality as well as on time. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re going through 19th avenue. No reservations needed.

Excellent flavor, good drinks, terrific presentation. A little pricey but meets expectations for the prices.

This place is always bustling and there's usually a short wait. Food consistently good, oxtail ragu has become my default unless a special calls to me (lamb shank or osso bucco)
Sometimes a dish comes complete but occasionally need to supplement with a salad or veggie.
Fast and friendly service (few places except for high end pack your leftovers in to go boxes for you.
Everything is reasonably priced here.
Desserts are the BEST. Lava cake is a moist brownie with perfect crunchy crust and a gooey molten chocolate center with perfect sweetness, it's my favorite of all lava cakes, very few restaurants are better.
Limoncello mascarpone cake is also delicious.
Always hard to decide between the 2. Forget if I've tried any other desserts cuz once we like something, we keep ordering it.
I believe owner sometimes comes out to chat with patrons. He seems very friendly.

Mamma Mia! Such a great Italian spot in the West Portal. They have a large outdoor Parklet and lots of space inside. Service was friendly although a little slow. Great wine selection. But the standout was the food. The lasagna is *chef’s kiss*. You can taste the love in the owner’s mother’s recipe. The gnocchi and ravioli were also delicious. There was distinct truffle in the ravioli, and the gnocchi was decadent. Will definitely be coming back when we’re craving Italian.

Came here after work, didn't have any appetizer. Had the suppa of the day minestrone, the hubby had the meat trio, mash potatoes and broccolini, I had the veal scallopini, mushroom masala, mash potato and veggies after that we had the limoncello cake! YUM😋😋 and Mamma Tiramisu and Cappuccino 😋😋😋😋😋 magnifico!!! The waiter was great and funny!!

an actual well run restaurant in SF and the food is good! Fast and delicious. The wait is never too long. I just wish they had more desert options 😅

There are too many good restaurants in West Portal & Trattoria da Vittorio is one of them.
It's delicious & has a great wine selection & always a good vibe, service is excellent. Dessert is good, too. Highly recommend.

This was a complete random choice as I was looking for a local restaurant for lunch and I sure found it. I tried the Fiocchetti and thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience, had excellent service and liked the whole ambiance inside. There is seating outside as well.
I had never been in this neighborhood before and wasn't let down. San Francisco cuisine is something special for sure.

We came up from Palo Alto to SF for the day and our daughter was craving pasta. I looked up Italian places nearby and Trattoria da Vittorio came up. We had never dined here before but we are sold. We will be back. It was amazing! Family friendly and casual vibe. The pasta dishes, steak dish, and desserts we ordered were absolutely delicious. Our waiter and other staff were very friendly and attentive, which made it an enjoyable and comfortable experience.

Was my first time there and was truly amazed! It’s rare nowadays to be able to walk into a bustling restaurant and be seated immediately. The food was incredible and the staff were so warm and friendly. This will be one of my favorite spots from now on :)

Unplanned weeknight dinner out for 2. Slightly more affordable italian food with generous servings. Would go again.

Good food. Good service. You can bring your pet outside sitting. Pizza was really good. Good burrata.

The gnocchi with the gorgonzola cream sauce is HEAVENLY! If you are looking for fluffy, delicious gnocchi and a tasty, flavorful sauce, 100% would recommend. It's like a gourmet mac and cheese.
