Taidong Shi Fang Vegan Restaurant

We had a tasty vegetarian-pescatarian dinner which was kind of mix of Japanese and Chinese style in an authentic local atmosphere.

They prepared a menu in English even with some pictures of their most common dishes.

Although the waitress spoke only a little English, she managed to give us extra information by translation on her phone. Her appearance was very kind, polite and sweet, always with a pleasant smile on her face.

Very delicious and satisfying meal with lots of flavor and texture variety. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Herbals teas were very nice as well. Hope to come back to try more dishes.

The entrance is through a medicine/souvernir store, the restaurant itself is on the 2nd floor. The food was absolutely amazing!! We had 6 different dishes of eggplant and mushroom. It is all vegan even though some things would translate as "chicken". MUST GO IN TAITUNG!

Delicious vegan and vegetarian food with friendly service in Taitung. The basil tofu and fried oyster (mushrooms) were our favourite dishes but everything we ordered was delicious 😋 highly recommend!

Such a gem in Taitung! If you are looking for some satisfying vegan eats this is a must visit. On the second floor of a Buddhist goods shop, it’s a homey space serving some delicious eats. Even though they don’t use alliums (garlic/onion) there’s no shortage of flavor.
They have a simple menu with some not-so-great English translations, but don’t let that scare you. We had the basil Tofu, Kung Pao mushrooms, toon noodles and sesame dry noodles. They were all great!

THE BEST! Best food we have had in Taiwan. The cooking is delicious and on point. The hot pot is of good size with a very delicate taste. Try the thai pepper mushrooms that dish is amazing! Finally a place that knows how to cook without overpowering your taste bud with salt&sugar! Already went twice in a week! Even made a video for our Youtube Channel (@pierreTLambert) :-)

Really delicious vegetarian/ vegan food! The staff are very friendly and helpful, and an english menu is available.

I highly recommend the eggplant, and the small noodle side dish.

We love coming here. It is a bit hard to find, but it’s a hidden gem. Walk through the store to the staircase in the back. Walk up the stairs, and you’ll be at the restaurant! The set meals are filling with soup, vegetables, the main dish, rice, a drink, and dessert, but they are worth it! The staff is friendly, and they have an English menu!

Beautiful Vegan food and the host is super friendly and sweet. There's an English menu available. I would definitely come back here again if I'm ever in Taitung! ☺

新的店面很乾淨漂亮，餐點好吃，也沒有免洗餐具，謝謝招待。

Sehr sehr lecker. Wenn es komplett voll ist, ist es etwas laut, aber das liegt ja an den Menschen und nicht am Restaurant. Kann es nur empfehlen!

素別也標示的很清楚，口味不會過淡過鹹，適合帶家中長輩來用餐。

一個人來 配菜較不適合單人吃 但不錯吃 適合結伴同行一起來吃 很感謝🙏服務員在我忘記拿走包包的情況 很快追了上來 很熱心 仔細😘😅 不然後果就嚴重了(｡ ́︿ ̀｡)😂
