Taitung Forest Park

Very beautiful cycling path with lots of greenery around. Very calming and the air is really fresh. Great place to have a picnic!

It's definitely a must visit. I didn't have much anticipation at first. But the ride and the scenery meditate my mind. Tips: Make sure to rent an ebicycle. As the park is huge. Cycle will be hard to cover everything.

This place is so big and good for spending time with your friends and family. Also, you are able to rent a bike to go around this area. I did enjoy being with my family there. BTW you have to pay the entrance fee before you get inside.

A very quite and nice but tiny forest park where there is bike lane for you to ride through the whole park in 2 hours. They also have a rental bike shop near the parking lot for a very decent price of NT$100 for half day. Although walking is possible but taking a bike would make it more fun and enjoyable particular in the summer time.

This is a very large park full of different trees and foliage. It is best to get there early (between 8:00 - 9:30am) to avoid the large crowds as it is a popular spot. The bicycles are cheap and easy to rent. It's very spacious and the air feels nice and crisp on a cool day, which invigorates the body. Depending on the direction you take you can view beautiful lakes or end up on the seashore and walk along the coast. A great way to spend 2 hours or so

If you like nature, walks, and mountain views you got to come here. It was incredibly beautiful.

The it was so clean and fresh, my boyfriend and I had wonderfully relaxing afternoon there biking around and even stopped by a lake to enjoy the view and some snacks.

The parking for scooters costs NT$30 per person.

They rent bicycles and that costs NT$100 per bike, or NT$300 for tandem bikes for the day.

The path is amazingly beautiful. There are several places with pond hidden in it. This is a wonderful place for bird lovers for bird watching. There are several paths throughout the area. I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Taitung.

Rent bicycle around train station, it took +/ 30 minutes to get there. Nice place to stroll around

Nice park with beautiful scenery and relaxing trails to walk. It even has a trail to reach the beach, which even tho it's full of rocks it's beautiful. There are many plant and animal species that make the park a great place to relax, the air feels fresh. It also has manmade ponds where people can go swimming or kayaking. If you enter the park before 6 am, it won't cost you any money. Right after entering there are places where you can rent a bicycle for 3 hours for $100 NTD. In overall, it was a quite long but nice walk in the park, with a great view and atmosphere. Would recommend. Full of lively old people exercising.

We had fun riding the two pax bicycle around the park. Tons of petai trees in the park but the petai are left to rot. Its a great food stir fried with sambal sauce and cleanse your urinary parts

30ntd admission. Beautiful peaceful place. You can rent bikes for 100ntd. Biking is the most convenient and fastest way to explore the huge area. Highlight for me was the Flowing Lake - a must see!

A very beautiful park but its big so recommended to rent a bike or use the obike available around town.

I visited here to join for the triathlon race. Such a great experience to join Ironman. Official Ironman will only be held in here and Penghu Island in Taiwan.

It was a hot and humid day when we arrived at the park and to traverse the park on such weather would be a killer. So we rented an electric bicycle to help reduce the stress of battling the heat.
We went on our way and took the left route from the approach of the entrance of park.
It started to daunt on us how huge this park actually is. The scenery was great. It is definitely worth the ride. However, if you chose a cooler season to experience the park and take a leisurely stroll around it, be ready to spend at least half a day. Otherwise, you will be missing out on lots of beautiful scenery.
We finished the left route and went for the right route. This route took us to a fairly large pond, or if you may like, a mini lake. A wonderful site for photo op.
One route near the pond lead us towards the sea. Another beautiful site to savor.
However, one important caution. Bring along insect repellant and studiously apply it it to the bare areas of your skin. We had the bad experience of being bitten by what seems like sand flies without realizing. The bite rash was so bad that we had to go and see a doctor.
Otherwise, it is worth the visit

Surprisingly beautiful and extremely relaxing. The park is exactly as it says, a place that was made to get people out of the city and back into nature. Kids are free, and adults are 50元 (so like $1.50USD per adult) absolutely worth the walk about.
