Very nice view to the pacific ocean. You can view the extraordinary dark blue ocean and beautiful bright blue sky while feeling the breeze run through your body. Recommend to go here for relaxing and enjoy your time.
There are some certain spots that will have crazy winds blowing, so beware of the places.
Great place for family and friends coming together for a good time.

Many of the art installations are not here anymore but this is still an amazing place to get views of the ocean. Plenty of parking lots and open spaces for pets.

One of popular places for stargazing. Many parking spaces and decent public toilets. It was quite the experience watching stars with calming wave sounds in the background.

Amazing oceanside view. Great mountains, rocky beach, high clouds, and blue sky and pacific ocean. You can see the "Green Island" in the farside horizon in a good-seeing day. A big parking area and public toilet are here.

Got some spare time so I just decided to bring some lunch and have it here while watching the ocean and enjoying the wind. It was so relaxing doing nothing but just watching the ocean. :)

This is a beautiful park facing the ocean. You have a wonderful view of the sunrise as well as the coastline.

This place is super scenic and I highly recommend anyone visiting Taitung to stop here. There are no shops but there are toilets at this scenic view point. Bring some coins if you want to buy something from the vending machine here.

A old Amis tribe village, Kararuan. In Amis language, Kararuan refers to washing hair area. This is because this place is located next to a small creek rich in mineral. Therefore, after washing your hair will become shiny and moisturise. That's how this place gotten their name from.
Near to the popular small Ye-Liu, this place have its vibe which I feel it's more prettier. And it's free admission. Good place for taking photo. Pretty windy thou during late fall.

Breathtaking views of East coast of Taiwan. On one side you get mountains and vast expansion of ocean on the other. There are installments on site to take photos with.

Giving it 5 stars because this area will show you the good angle of Taitung coastline where you can see both the ocean and the mountains (see the photo I uploaded). It’s beautiful especially when the sky is clear and sunny, it will give you a clear view of the mountains and the blue ocean. You can see the sunrise by the ocean (summer is the best time for clear sky), enjoy the view, the ocean breeze and breathe fresh air. The photos I am sharing here were taken at different times. One on a clear sky, and the other on a cloudy day — just to give you an idea on how it looks like on different weather/sky conditions.

Such a lovely scenic spot! I had a short rest here while during my trip around Taiwan on bicycle 脚踏车环岛. This was one of my favourite scenic spots along the way on a very very long day of cycling between Taitung and the beautiful city of Hualien. Whether you're cycling, driving or travelling by foot, this is a lovely place to rest for a weary traveller (:

Beautiful coastal stop featuring artwork by indigenous (原住民) artist Iyo Kacaw. He used Rebar, Drift Wood, Wood Panels, Glass, Books to create “wave-like chairs by the sea [that] invite you to sit down and listen to the splashing water and enjoy the breeze. It is a stopover before taking off again, a rest station for reflection. Life is a book and the stories in it, sweet or bitter, should be read carefully. Traveling provides the best way of reading the book of life, and a life-changing journey is to find the soil for germinating a new self.”
