Taitung Night Market

Crowded on a Saturday evening. Smelly tofu with herbal soup was really hearty and comforting, which was perfect for a cold rainy day. There were also pork chop and the usual oyster omelette.

This fried rice noodles stall is very clean and hygienic looking. And Stinky Tofu stall that's very crispy.

A good night market as there are plenty of seats to eat-in. There are also rubbish bins provided along the market, in every stall and wash basins in some stalls. 👍🏼

Great food - very affordable - totally enjoyable!

Night market is a must visit place if you are in Taitung and Taiwan in general, no questions asked. Taitung night market is not as big as I expected but still good place to have local snacks. PX mart and Carrefour are nearby. Apparently they do not open on Sunday (?) so we’re glad that we came here on Saturday.

I have also been to Dongdamen Night Market (Hualien) and Raohe Night Market (Taipei) - I think this is the best of the three! There is a wide variety of food options despite its supposedly smaller size, and the food tastes great! I will love to come back to this night market again

A great place to stroll through with a good variety of local foods and drink, seating is available in spots. When bored there are a variety of fair ground games to loose your money on. Well worth a visit

It was a unique night market, which most of stalls are selling local food. It would be good for non Taiwanese to make their order if they put on English menu too. I actually want to try many different foods but no idea what and how to order.

Good food, friendly people, fantastic atmosphere

This one is far from the huge night markets from the west coast... it’s small, cute, perfect place to spend an evening strolling around, especially if with kids.

Tip: On the eastern end there is a fruit seller who also sells draft beer!

Great fun and food. Saw many families enjoying food and outdoor activities.

No better place to spend your Chinese New Year's eve when you're travelling!

Wonderful time Friday night, food was delicious and not too crowded

A night market with plenty of food, drink, and game stalls serving Taitung City. Comparing it with other night markets in Taiwan, I'd say it's medium-sized and you can expect to spend about an hour there.

If you need to do some grocery shopping or need to use the washroom, there's a Carrefour along the middle of the night market too.

The choice of food is close to most nightmarkets in Taipei, however there are many seats which made this night market very comfortable.

It's a night market with the standard options. Go for the local fruit shakes.

Good quality and vast choices. The stinky tofu was very tasty. Much cheaper and tastier than taipei ones

The night market is really well situated and reminds me a bit of the one in Luodong. I had 割包 which is basically the Taiwanese burger! It was great. A must visit when in Taitung.

Variety of food, but foreigners bring your translation app, lol. Most menus are not in English.
