Such a great place to eat! Meat is fresh and absolutely delicious. My husband and I went twice during our stay and the owner recognized us the 2nd time. Great guy, very personable!

My husband had such a pleasant dinner here with our son last night. Our waiter was very nice (which wasn't always the case during our trip) and the food was tasty. Everything came out quickly and accurately, which is super helpful when you've got a squirrelly almost 2 year old in tow. It was fun to grill our meats at the table and the sauce the waiter recommended we put on after we finished cooking was really nice. The fries were especially good- they came to out hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt. We finished our meal with a slice of caramel cake and a glass of the pineapple liquor- delicious!

An amazing place to spend time with your loved one(s). It was really fun to grill the meat by yourself. The bacon was the best of all! We also ordered a side dish (white rice and French fries), and they fit perfectly with the grilled meat. Another highlight of the place was the home-made sauce that complements the grilled meat really well. Overall, I would recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Ponta Delgada!

We really liked the BBQ-on-your-table concept and so did our kids. We even more liked the fish, which is highly recommended. Much value. Be early or make a reservation.

One of the best meals we had in Ponta Delgada. You grill your own food at the table which was fun (except the fish which they cook for you). Delicious & high quality meat for sure. The owner was super nice, friendly & helpful. We loved it and highly recommend anybody visiting check it out. Great food & great value also.

Our last night in Ponta Delgada was a Sunday, and a lot of places aren't open on Sunday evening. We stopped by Acores Grill the day before and made a reservation. This is a very casual little place where you BBQ your own food at your table. We ordered a platter of meats, good fries, and really good black beans. It's indoors and you're doing it over charcoal briquettes (I doubt it would be legal back home!). It's not fine dining, but it's very inexpensive and piles of food. On a rainy, windy evening, we were very happy. There was 1 waiter who never stopped moving and the place was packed when we left.

Making your own food there is easy and fun. Prices are good and staff is helpful.
The possibility to make every bit of meat as much grilled as you want is a big plus. Maybe we were moderately impressed with the beef chunk but all the others were perfect.
And yes, the price of each set is for two persons, not one, which makes it really good price to outcome ratio. Every kind of meat was doubled so it was easy to share between two of us. After two sets we felt adequately satiated – one would suffice if we were not that hungry. As a suggestion we think that adding some vegetable or fruit to a grilling set could be interesting.
The bottle of red wine from island of Pico was simply great! (and note that we didn’t like other azorean wines we've tried).
So if you want to diversify your Ponta Delgada restaurants list you should definitely add this one.

Excellent price quality food. Very simple menu, just grilled food you prepare yourself. The system extracts all the smoke so the place is nice and not smelly.

Around 13 € per person will give you meat, drinks, salad, rice and french fries enough for eating.

Good grill restaurant where you can freshly grill your own meat. The black beans were awesome! Good price, easy to find. The ventillation of the room was good, we did not smell at all. Reservation is recommended.

Owner was quick to create seating space. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes. Totally worth the wait. Cooking style is similar to Korean BBQ style (table side grill your own). Really good and very reasonably priced. Nothing fancy.

Pork belly and chicken are my favorite! Chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy! The pricing is lovely too.

First time our family has visited the Azores, found our go to place here in Ponta Delgada! A fun experience for our family to season and grill the meat and pineapple (yum) over charcoal. Humberto is an amazing server and makes you feel very welcome and helps to guide you on your order.
