Many of the staff speak English very well. As this was one of our first errands after arriving in Ponta Delgada, we were very grateful to the folks here who went above and beyond to help us get acclimate and set up Portuguese phone service. Like most transactions in the Azores, plan for extra time if you are then it takes to get it done in the USA; folks here are convivial and so rush business at the expense of making a pertains connection. We not only got the help we needed to set up our phone, we got a lot of good advice on where to eat, planes to visit, and a pressman choose of old- fashion small talk that made the customer service here just right!

Went in and knew already what I wanted (15 Euros tourist plan). Set up and left the place within 10 minutes at most.
