Cais 20

We did not go to Cais 20 until our last day on the island. We went early 6:00 pm and got a great table by the window. Our waiter, Silvio was so helpful picking out a fresh fish for my meal. Very good prices, we paid less than 100 Euros which included a few 0.5L of tap white wine and meals for 4! We should have gone the first day, so many choices!

Brilliant food and great service. We had Cracas (Barnacles), Fried Sardines, Baby Squid (Out of the world) and sea snails (not to our taste).

Highly recommended.

Delicious seafood! Food is amazing, so fresh and with taste. It’s very busy place so there is guarantee of freshness because they selling so much good stuff. We tried mussels it was a pleasure. You also need to get homemade garlic bread and fries made from real potatoes. All portions are huge. For dessert recommend homemade local cookie ice cream. So good! This place is worth the price and visit. Big thanks for our server Paula. Truly recommend!

We visited this restaurant during our stay on Azores. Restaurant was recommended by the local person so we had high expectations:)
Food was good - I’d say that dishes from the regular menu were slightly overpriced, but they also have economic menu.

One thing - no dressings provided. Only olive oil, but low quality one :)

Emanuel provided excellent service and attention to detail. He explained the difference types of ports to drink before and after dinner. The entrées were delicious and very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious. As food-loving tourists, this was the best meal of our stay on Sao Miguel. We came at recommendation of our airport shuttle driver. Service, views, and tastes were incredible. Very local vibe. Waiter didn’t speak much English, but enough to recommend great food.

We ordered:
—garlic bread (waiter recommended, not to be missed)
—pan fried limpets (very fresh and tasty)
—mussels escabeche (came in Azorean stone pot and the flavors sang!)
—fish of the day (grilled Alfonsino, came with butter grilled vegetables that were also tasty)
—cinnamon ice cream (amazing! waiter recommended. It was somehow one of the tastiest ice creams we had ever had. No joke!)
—pineapple cake (yum! Tangy and sweet like chewy candy)

Delicious food. There are affordable prices and the plates are generous. The waiters are not speaking english as we expected, but they are very nice.

Caís 20, exceeded our expectations. Our server, Silvio, was the best. We were unsure what to order and he gave us the best suggestions on all of our food. Definitely would return to eat this delicious seafood

Everything truly good and amazing. From food to great staff. Fresh fish, meat and seafood. You should always go there.

This was the best meal I had on the island. Get whatever the day’s special is they recommend (I got grouper and it was divine) and it won’t disappoint. If they have cinnamon ice cream for dessert, get it. It was delicious.
Parking is a little confusing. There are 2 small lots that are a tight squeeze, but you can also drive down the road to a bit more open part of the coast where there is a bigger parking lot. Next time I go I’m going to park there and walk 3 min down the road.

Silvio really looked after us for our late dinner and our first dinner on the island. Delicious fresh fish and local produce like potatoes and veggies. Would definitely recommend as a local fish resto.

Really relaxed and home town feeling .The BACALHAU à Brás was AWSOME and.the Octopus dish well well.enjoyed ..They will even pick you up from your HOTEL✅

Very nice people even if I tried to make a reservation over the phone 3 days in a row. Finally after I succeeded, the food was very good (octopus and the fried sardines) and the white wine sangria with passion fruit was amazing.

Full of flavors! Another level! Service was slow but it is mainly due to the kind of dishes they service — AMAZING! The kind of places you don’t want to share with others because you want to keep it for you!

Ask for suggestions if you don’t know what to chose!

We went without a booking, but got a table after a while. The place was packed, which is probably why it took a while to get our food. However, it was DELICIOUS and totally worth the wait!
Portions are large, beware if you want to also have an appetizer. I also had cake for dessert (with pineapple and coconut, yum - there’s always the dessert stomach for that).

What a fantastic restaurant. The service was outstanding. They even lay on a free taxi service to Ponta Delgada. To start we had sirlion skewer to share. We had seafood rice to share, then deserts recommended by our waiter that did not appear on the menu. All the food was fresh and full of flavour. The wine was not overly priced.
I would thoroughly recommend Cais 20.

We came here just to try the ‘açorian lapas’ and we ordered as well some vegetables made on papillote that were super tasty!
Huge plate of lapas for a raisonable price and a long list of Portugese wine to chose.
Bar was super busy but they were fast on serving us.
