Sunshine Cafe

This is a great little cafe with a small seating balcony that looks out towards the ruins of Ollantaytambo. The menu is really good with some vegetarian choices. Prices are really reasonable, too.
It’s a great place to stop for lunch, a coffee, a snack or dessert.

Sunshine cafe was DELICIOUS! All their food is local and organic without preservatives. The staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast dishes, coffee, and desserts were all incredible. I highly recommend!

This restaurant is a small family run business, serving high quality, fresh vegetarian food.
The orders are prepared with fresh, nothing is premade, so they take a bit of time but worth the wait to enjoy hot, fresh meals. We enjoyed the quinoa soup which had a generous helping of crunchy vegetables, toasted tortillas with freshly made guacamole and chicha morada.

First of all: it's damn delicious! I'm not just saying that. Homemade, hand-made - I can taste the love. The love of two people who operate this beautiful little restaurant in Ollantaytambo with their beautiful young children. The warmth of these kind people can also be tasted in the food. The falafel salad, the wraps, the ceviche are so delicious and everything is also available in vegan!

The view from the balcony is great for eating delicious food and simply watching the people arriving who all want to go to the ruins.

My favorite are simply the homemade and perfectly seasoned French fries 🤤.

So if you're in Ollantaytambo right now and want to eat delicious and healthy food, this is your place! I promise you you won't be disappointed.

PS: A friend told me that the desserts are also very good, especially the homemade carrot cake.

Delicious, fresh food at great value and wonderful service from the couple working there. We had the falafel salad, hummus wrap and a fruit juice. We stuck around a while just enjoying the atmosphere of this cute cafe!

We were looking for a quick place to eat and we wanted something that was well established and highly rated. We came across this place on Google. The food and view were excellent! Prices were reasonable and the place and bathroom were clean. The family serving us were very nice as well. I had the loaded breakfast bowl and the orange & papaya. Would highly recommend this place!

I can't say enough good things about this Cafe! It's an absolute gem right in the center with breathtaking views of the surrounding agriculture. The pastries are always incredibly fresh, and the sandwiches are mouthwateringly delicious. Plus, they have an amazing selection of shakes and even beer for those looking for something extra special.

But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are without a doubt the luckiest staff in town, and they take care of you with a genuine smile that brightens your day. I had the pleasure of trying the tuna wrap, and it was absolutely divine – a must-try for anyone visiting.

In the two weeks we've spend in Ollantaytambo we went to Sunshine cafe almost daily. Their sign says fresh, local and friendly and that's really how it is. The family that runs it is really kind and there's a great atmosphere. The food is good and it's a good place for remote working. We will miss Sunshine Cafe!

Lovely family run cafe. There are great indoor and outdoor seating options, our favourite was the balcony upstairs which is great to see stars and sunset. The food and drinks are great too, we came three times in two days. Highly recommend.

In a town full of very good restaurants, this was my favorite.

Loved the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food.

Went there for breakfast and had the breakfast bowl which was delicious. Potatoes were soft, bacon crispy and avocado fresh.
The owner gave a free brownies which were delicious.

My partner and I came to this place 3 times during our 2 night stay in ollantaytambo. The food was excellent and the young man working there is so lovely. The brownie is so good we had it twice. We also had the burrito bowl and the hummus sandwich, both solid. There’s a nice spot to sit with a view. Would highly recommend!!

Came here for dinner after craving some fresh food and this did not disappoint! Food portions were massive and delicious fresh ingredients! The family that ran the cafe were also very attentive and accomodating. 10/10

Loved this cafe! I ate here twice because the food was so fresh and delicious. And the prices were so good comparatively!

Highly recommend the hummus wrap!

We stopped by for drinks and a treat. The owner was super nice and explained all of the local beers for Yukay Brewery and Cervecería del Valle. He also sat down with us and shared history about different pueblitos and how Ollantaytambo has become a place that welcomes all and preservation of culture. The carrot cake was also delicious and nutritious! Recommend you stop by!

All the food here is so cheap yet delicious. We ordered the chicken salad wrap, BLTA wrap and burrito bowl. My favorite was the BLTA wrap!

The male staff is so nice (1pm, 24 Jan 2020)and the food especially juice there is awesome. We ordered orange, pineapple and papaya juice. All good!! Free of sugar and ice. Very fresh and rich... Love it!! Last but not least, the cost-performance ratio is the best!! It definitely worths five stars review.
