We had an amazing experience climbing up to the pods and zip lining back down the next day. The food was amazing, some of the best food we’ve had on the trip and all prepared by our amazing and professional guides. Highly recommend this experience if you’re in Peru and up for the climb!

It was such as great experiences stay at this amazing hotel.Climbing up mountain took us about 1.5-2 hours which it was fun and challenging, but with professional teams, great communication and safety gears makes everything so easy. The food, dinner and breakfast were delicious. At night time you can clearly see starts. This was such a unique experience and it will embrace in our memory forever.

Staying at this hotel is a memorable experience! Climbing up took us 1.5 hrs. It was fun and challenging at some parts. The view was amazing on the way up. We bought the photo package and got some great photos. The pod was very clean and cozy. However early June is already pretty cold. It's warm and nice in bed but very painful to get out of the bed. So make sure to bring some warm pajamas if you plan to visit during winter months.

Peru is full of beauty and wonders, which can be accessed by most travellers, however this is an experience few people can / could go through with. It is daunting and exciting. Taking the Via Ferrata route up to the pods (approx 2hrs / 300m gain) was a highlight of my time in Peru, it really is that good. The sense of achievement upon completion makes the effort worthwhile, as do the stunning view on the way. We were lucky and had clear skies at night, a million stars lit the sky above, my personal highlight of the whole trip. Alan and the team worked really hard to ensure we were safe and well looked after at all times. A delicious dinner and breakfast is freshly prepared, faultlessly presented and served in the main pod, where the tables have an out of this world view. Zipwires and hiking down the following morning was great way to see the Sacred Valley's natural beauty from a different perspective. I would absolutely recommend this unique experience 100%.

A group of three of us stayed in two separate pods for one night. It was absolutely incredible and the experience of a lifetime! The via ferrata up to the pods was stunning and exhilarating. The view from the pods was incredible. The food and service were top notch. The ziplining down from the pods the following day was also amazing.

Advice:
1) One suggestion would be to bring earplugs or have some type of white noise while you sleep because there are dogs barking at night you will hear from the houses below and you will also hear cars and the train passing by.
2) You have the option to pay for a photographer to capture the experience, which we did, and we thought it was well worth it. The photographer got many great photos of us along with some amazing drone video.

We didn’t stay in the rooms but did the via ferrata climb and zip lines. The guides were very conscientious with my 78 y/o mom and 7 y/o step daughter and kept the excitement (and safety) going throughout the day. Highly recommend!!!

Everything! It is a proper adventure going up and coming down. The guides are the real stars in the experience. They help you every step of the way - going up and coming down. Once you reach the hotel - they make a splendid meal with amazing presentation. It is unbelievable really.
We reached after dark and once we got up in the morning - the views were stunning!
Special shout out to Alen for helping my wife at every step of the way.

I recently had the privilege of spending a night at the Starlodge in Peru's Sacred Valley, an experience that left an indelible imprint on my memory. This splendid retreat, tucked away amidst the verdant slopes of the valley, offers a rich blend of adventure, relaxation, and Peruvian hospitality.

Arriving at Starlodge, one is immediately swept away by the surrounding beauty of the Sacred Valley. The lodge, embraced by the undulating green mountains and the azure sky above, perfectly complements this picturesque landscape. The view from my room was awe-inspiring, revealing an untamed panorama of this magical valley.

Starlodge strikes an exquisite balance between comfort and an authentic, rustic ambiance. My room was tastefully decorated, offering modern amenities amidst a distinctively Peruvian aesthetic. The sense of tranquility it evoked was incredibly refreshing, providing a perfect sanctuary for relaxation after a long journey.
What makes the Starlodge truly remarkable is the myriad of outdoor activities that it offers. Despite the short stay, I managed to experience an unforgettable hike. The trail wound through the mesmerizing terrain of the Sacred Valley, unveiling nature's bounty at every turn. The lodge's guides were proficient and engaging, enlightening us about the unique ecosystem of the valley.

The zipline adventure was a heart-pounding thrill, offering an unparalleled aerial view of the enchanting landscape. The safety standards were impeccable, reassuring us of a secure and exhilarating experience.

The staff at the Starlodge were the epitome of warm Peruvian hospitality. Each member was friendly, attentive, and highly professional. They made my short stay special, catering to my needs and ensuring my safety and comfort throughout.

After a day of exploration, nothing could have been more relaxing than a dip in the lodge's hot tub. Overlooking the serene valley, it provided a rejuvenating soak under the starlit sky. Although I didn't have time to experience the spa, its reputation is a testament to the lodge's commitment to holistic wellness.

Speaking of safety, I was impressed by the security measures at the Starlodge. With effective protocols and well-trained staff, I felt completely at ease during my stay.

In conclusion, my one-night sojourn at the Starlodge was an enriching experience, immersing me in the spellbinding allure of the Sacred Valley. The blend of adventure, tranquility, and warm hospitality left me yearning for a longer stay. Despite its brevity, my time at the Starlodge was intensely rewarding, reaffirming my belief that sometimes, even a single night can make a world of difference.

An extraordinary experience! First, for outdoor enthusiasts you'll love that this isn't a 20 min tourist "climb" packaged as a via ferrata. It's 90 minutes or so and a 1000 foot ascent on a quality via ferrata with views, exposure, and some physical challenge. The guides are there to watch for safety and give advice, but they don't baby you. I appreciated that.

Before people start whining about the price, you are paying for an experience and comparing it to the "hotel room" world is just silly. The logistics of providing wine, quality meals, clean sheets, and an adventure unlike much else on the planet .... it's not a small feat. Those guys schlep every ounce of food, water, and supplies up there on their backs!

The zip line has 7 pitches, so a really comprehensive zip line experience to descend.

The photo package in our view was worth every penny, because I didn't really want to take my phone out while climbing! He even uses to drone to get pics of you in your pod from outside. At about $110 US for two people including drone and video, we thought it was good bang for the buck.

Everything we expected and more! The only adjustment I'd love to see is starting 30 minutes earlier. The climbing became less fun (and more stressful) finishing by headlamp. Otherwise, perfect.

Absolute must if you’re fit enough to do it.
The guides are amazing and will go at your pace.
The fresh food was much needed after a strenuous hike.
I think the pricing was very fair, considering the adventure aspect and all the logistics that goes into you spending a night hanging from a cliff.

I chose to rappel down rather than zip line and it was absolutely exhilarating.

Please don’t be like me and take a day in Cusco to acclimatize to the altitude. I came from plane to physical activity.

My dad and I booked this trip (my bucket list thing to do). With my dad being unsure of this adventure (my dad is 76) they accommodated him with his own guide . I did the via ferrata climb and he did the hike. He said the hike was adventurous and the guide Diego stayed with him every step of the way. Thank you Diego for making him feel comfortable and getting him to the sky lodge safely! The food was amazing and the pods were spectacular. Luxurious bedding and amazing views! Breakfast with amazing views were one of the highlights for us. Ziplining down was so much fun. Didn't realize there were 6 ziplines to get down! What an adventure! Highly recommend this to everyone who is looking for an amazing adventure! Thank you Leo and effrin for guiding us through our journey😁

We had an action packed trip to Peru and sky lodge was unanimously our favorite part of the trip! From start to finish, it was a unique, exhilarating experience and all of the guides were very fun and friendly. I’ve never heard of an experience like this anywhere else and still can’t believe I slept on the side of a mountain. Highly highly recommend this activity to adrenaline seekers.

The best way to finish an adventure trip to Peru. The previous day was finished The Inca trail and this was by far the best way to close the trip. We had been picked up at our hotel, promptly guided to a safety orientation and how to climb up the via ferrata. Efrin (a serious guy) but amazing knowledge and experience, Jose best all around guide! Ramon guided one of our group for the hike up. Efrin/Jose were the overnight guides. (A person in a group of 4 in the pod had some legs cramps and they quickly came in to assist in the middle of the night) They made our dinner, and breakfast and back down for the Zipline! My group of 7 (we booked all the pods) had a great time. We celebrated a birthday up there. I highly encourage getting the photography package to add to your experience. Skylodge is worth the price for a full adventure and a memory to have for a lifetime.

Amazing experience! It was not too physically demanding, I would say most people with an average fitness level could do it. The guides were excellent, always there for you and very professional. The equipment was in great shape. It always felt very safe. The reward of being up there is precious.

I was a little nervous to see how this adventure was going to turn out. My boyfriend had seen these pods on YouTube and thought it would be cool to stay one night, but they weren't available the days we were going to be in this area of Peru, you must book way in advance if you really want to get a spot. Then he found out about the other option of climbing up, having lunch, and then zip lining down! I’ve never been zip lining and had never climbed up a mountain cliff wall, but we are pretty fit and active so I trusted him. I’d have to say, it was pretty amazing! Our guide, Guillermo, were very professional, well trained, and fun at the same time. He made me feel safe, and showed us all safety precautions. Lunch was delicious, the weather and view was amazing, and zip lining down was so much fun! Although they tell you that you do not need experience to do this, I feel like you do need to be at some level of fit to climb up. You’re stretching and using a lot of upper body strength to hold on and pull yourself up for at least an hour. We also had the option to get photos taken of our whole experience, which I’m glad we did, because they came out amazing! Our photographer, Fernando, took some awesome action photos of us climbing and zip lining. It was well worth the money to remember our experience. If you’re looking for something memorable and adventurous to do while in this area of Peru, I definitely recommend this experience.

This place is amazing, and a memorable experience. Nothing compares to vertically hiking up a mountain, and ziplining down it the following day. The food is great, and the guides are friendly.

Highly recommend this to anyone with even a modest sense of adventure. 🙃 we didn’t stay in the hotel, but the two hour via ferrata climb up and six(!) ziplines whizzing back down made for one of my most memorable experiences in the Valle Sagrado!

I do think one needs a reasonable head for heights to enjoy the journey 😉, but it’s definitely not too difficult for someone of average fitness, with no climbing experience (i.e. me). Carlos and David, who climbed with our group, were super nice and patient — but really all of the guides are extremely friendly and professional, and they make you feel safe — even when you’re hanging onto a rockface 200 metres above the ground!
