Del Pilar Ollantaytambo

I have many photos, but I'll not share on purpose, so you'll have to see by yourself! ;)
But I'll describe my experience of unimaginably beautiful Del Pilar:
- In every corner that you look, there's a piece of visual perfection.
- This place has the most artistically spectacular and tasteful interior design, and I've been to many places around the world.
- There's the best of Peruvian art and culture on just the right surfaces, creating the perfect combination of traditional art with modern minimalism.
- The architecture, the perfectly proportional semi-corcular and rectangular shapes of the wooden windows are nearly as beautiful as the geometrically satisfying wood work of the furniture.
- The food, drinks and service are all seamless, and the staff demonstrate the best of the genuinely kind Peruvian culture.
- The lodge's interior perfection gets yet more perfect with its beautiful yard, the super cute lamas and the 360 degrees grand scenery of the green mountains surrounding the planes.

This place is as great in quality as it is on humility.
It's certainly worth anyone's time, as it provides activities for all personalities (even for kids, a little green playground!).
It's certainly a more peaceful and fulfilling experience than just staying in Cusco or Ollantaytambo.

A few points about commuting to here if you're visiting Machu Picchu:
- You can come here with a taxi, or with the Veronica vans that run between Ollantaytambo and the villages in this area for only 3 soles (during certain hours daily).
- You can get back to Ollantaytambo in about 30 minutes (with taxi or Veronica vans) and take the train Machu Picchu at any time.
- You can feel free to use their free bikes, go up and down the road and enjoy the mountains scenery or, if you feel really adventurous, walk toward the mountains through the villages for a day hike or backpacking and camping up there.

Beautiful Hotel.. only the service was really bad.. waiting 30 min for coffee or hours to have breakfast is a really bad experience.. the location is good but faraway from the city .. but it is a quiet place with a beautiful view

I had a booking for one night in this wonderful place away from ollantaytambo. 3 days before my stay the hotel was kind enough to inform me that there will be strike in the area meaning that I will not be able to reach my next destination before the strike ends.
I had to cancel my booking and the hotel accepted to refund my booking, this tells you a lot about this place, they didn't have to do it and yet arranged everything to help me the most.
I am really hoping to stay there in the future to experience the place and rooms.
Next time I'll do a review of the place.

The place is absolutely amazing, they have a lot of green areas, rooms to play, restaurant, a fireplace where you can even have dinner and eat some marshmallows. Very kind and generous people who are always willing to help. The rooms are very clean and comfortable.

A hidden gem in sacred valley for sleeping over, before starting the pilgrimage hike. It offers tranquility and convenience due to its proximity to Ollantaytambo town and the trail head of Km 82. The staff are friendly and dishes are tasty. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in the hotel, it's very beautiful and clean. The only down side for us was that it was about 20 minutes away from a mini market, restaurants and farmacies.

This hotel is what I hope Heaven is going to look like (if I can get reservations I'll find out.) The people here were amazing, the views were stunning! When we got up in the morning and open the blinds to the windows which were many we saw beautiful Valley snow capped mountains we heard the birds chirping the cows mooing in the distance. the faint sound of a train whistle filled with people going to Machu Picchu. You don't have to venture far from this hotel to see beauty all around you, they have tours set up if you want. Our guide was amazing the van driver was amazing the wait staff the cooks housekeeping, truly everyone was friendly and helpful beyond my expectations. This is the nicest hotel experience we have ever had.

Such a beautiful resort with amazing mountains all around. The service in the restaurant is excellent and the food is wonderful. Excellent service by Rosa in the restaurant and Angelina at the bar.
Highly recommend it in Sacred Valley

I absolutely love this hotel but be aware that it is a 15 min taxi ride away from the Plaza de Armas in Ollantaytambo.

Amazing place outside of ollantaytambo. Nice views and close to mountains but taxi ride from the town. Facilities are great and rooms are beautiful.

Great location and service. Definite plus for families to stay. It is 20 min away from station but its worth the distance.

Like a hidden treasure, a wealth of amenities and wonderful service.

Its a beautiful hotel,everything is Excellent.

El hotel en sí ofrece comodidad, vistas impresionantes y un servicio excepcional. el encanto del hotel y su personal amable hicieron que mi estadía en Ollantaytambo fuera memorable. Espero visitarlos pronto...

Nuestra estadía fue increíble. El lugar es perfecto para descansar, la cama muy cómoda, todo en orden, y el personal es excepcional. Nos ayudaron con los traslados y las visitas a los sitios arqueológicos. Todo con muchísima amabilidad. Además, organizaron una noche de pizzas en su horno de barro, que estuvieron deliciosas!

Mi estancia en el Del Pilar Ollantaytambo Hotel fue genial en todos los aspectos, excepto por la experiencia en el restaurante. El hotel en sí ofrece comodidad, vistas impresionantes y un servicio excepcional. Sin embargo, lamentablemente, mi visita al restaurante no cumplió con las expectativas. En general, la calidad de los platos no estaba a la altura de lo que esperaba. A pesar de esta decepción culinaria, el encanto del hotel y su personal amable hicieron que mi estadía en Ollantaytambo fuera memorable.
