Amanto - Comida Sagrada

Delicious food and service. We arrived for lunch on a Wednesday and it was very quiet, so had a lovely time. The food is delicious and extremely well presented. Johan the waiter was lovely and kept checking if we were ok. Couldn’t recommend more!

Cozy restaurant with high-quality, well plated dishes and friendly service located in the plaza of Ollantaytambo. Each dish looked incredible and tasted great, the carpaccio of alpaca was a stand out and we also loved the aguaymanto cheesecake.

They go pretty slow with the service as most things do in the region. Keep this in mind if you’ve got a train to catch! We thought this was probably the best restaurant in the square so we’d recommend you eat there.

Wide range of tasty Peruvian dishes beautifully presented. Salad was excellent, lamb needed a little more sauce to combat natural dryness but the beef was spot-on. Service impeccable and laid back atmosphere with view over town square.

Amazing place! They bring you out some little local potato's with a beautiful homemade sauce while you wait for your dish.

This is the best restaurant in Ollantaytambo. Lis was an excellent host who took the time to chat and ensure we were taken care of. We hope to come back someday!

We are so happy we found this place. The food was incredibly delicious. We read great reviews and we had to come see for ourselves. Our server Lis was lovely - very friendly and attentive. We shared the corn soup which was delicious, the sweet potato with shrimp and the cuy (Guinea pig) which was so good. We topped it off with the chocolate bomba which was so good! The only feedback I would give is to not bring all the plates out at the same time, so that the appetizer and main don’t get cold, since we were still eating the soup. Other than that it was a great experience!

We've eaten in a few places here and the food has been very good BUT Amanto was exceptional!
We stumbled across Amanto, hidden away up some stairs on the east corner of the square, place to ourselves with a lovely view of the town.
3 courses of Andean Shrimp, Trout, Cuy and bomba chocolate, blew us away!

Absolutely delicious food at really affordable prices. Food or drinks comes with a free appetizer of potato and a lovely dip which is very much appreciated. I am not someone to to go to the same restaurant twice and like yo try different things but we came here three times because we enjoyed it so much. We had the guinea pig and the causa with ceviche and both were incredible

Probably the best restaurant in town offering outstanding dining. The dishes are low priced at excellent value. Everything is cooked and crafted with attention to detail, very beautifully presented and tastes fantastic. The Alpaca Carpaccio is very delicious - a must try!

Very good food and beautifully presented! The ambiance is nice, sitting upstairs and you can overlook the plaza de armas. Dishes are plentiful, we only managed to have a main and a dessert, but both were excellent. If you are looking for a bit of fine dining and creative dishes mixing Peruvian and western food for very good prices, this is the place. The chocolate bomb is the bomb 💣

Amazing food in perfect atmosphere. Fine dining quality. I had the best pisco sour here during my stay in Peru and I tried more than ten at least.

Fairly new restaurant in Olantaytambo, they make a lot of effort to be good. Service is top notch. Ceviche and trucha were very good. The lamb was slightly disappointing, the portion was rather small. On other pictures i can see 5 cutlets whereas i had only 3. For 40 soles this is not a good value. The cocktails are great though, so between 4 and 5 stars it makes me lean to the higher rating, but definitely room for improvement.

Great place for quality food. Prices are at a slight premium but that's expected at a touristy and remote destination. Dishes are around $9-10 each and are at a good Perú restaurant level. Compares great to the same prices for really average dishes just across the town square in a variety of more basic food joints.

Lis the proprietor was very personal and her recommendations were appreciated. We were the only customers there on a quiet Christmas eve. WiFi available as well.

I stayed in Ollantay for five days in May and returned to eat at this restaurant for dinner every day. The Causa Acevichada and Pisco Sour are phenomenal, I also enjoyed the dessert. the atmosphere is wonderful, restaurant is clean and well-decorated. The staff are friendly and attentive. This is such a gem, a combination of fair prices and gourmet food, really wonderful. It’s worth coming to Ollantay just to eat here for a few days.
