Holiday Inn Melaka, an IHG Hotel

We had a pleasant experience while staying in Holiday Inn Malacca. The service and staff friendliness’s are top notch. They keep the rooms cleaned. Breakfast foods was good and lots of option (surprisingly they prepared japanese breakfast - which I rarely see in Malaysian hotels). Hopefully they can maintain the service and hospitality.

Chose this hotel based on recommendation from my relative and it was good. Location wise is walking distance to Jonker Street and near shopping mall and they also have shuttle service for their guests. They are going through some upgrading work and renovations at their public area and rooms to upkeep the hotel which is a smart choice. Manage to use their swimming pool right before they close for a week to do some upgrading and small renovation as per the staff. Also tried their Buffet Ramadan and what a spread, taste and crowd. Should give it a try. Hope they keep up the standard and can't wait to see thebrand new Holiday Inn Melaka after all the upgrading work is done.

We stayed in the Holiday inn for just the 1 night during our trip from Singapore up through Malaysia to Penang. Wow what a great hotel! We have stayed in a few Holiday inn's over the years and if i am honest i wasn't expecting much but was i wrong this place is exceptional. The room was lovely and spacious with a very comfy bed and a fabulous view out of the windows.
The highlight for me was the breakfast, such a huge variety to choose from.
Melaka was definitely an interesting place to visit and made so much better by the Holiday Inn. Well done!!

Came for company meeting. Old hotel but they have very nice facilities. Ample parking spaces. Serve a lot of nyonya kuih during tea break and eventhough the lunch buffet spread is not that much, it still have that plus point since they serve ABC and ice cream. Good job.

7/9/2023 - Thursday. 1st time, my husband & I staying in Holiday Inn in Melaka. From the outside view and entrance is magnificent with warm, helpful, friendly concierge service. The check-in receptionists were very pleasant, too. The design was fascinating with bringing the warm, welcoming feeling, which makes us feel so relaxed with good memories for this hotel. The room is clean, well-lit, spacious with big coffee making stations. We were definitely coming back to this hotel in the near future. Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Holiday Inn buffet lunch is a culinary delight! From international flavors to local favorites, the spread is diverse and delicious. Impeccable service complements the inviting ambiance, making it an exceptional dining experience worth savoring.

Nice service. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast is ok. Very convenient location at a walking distance from malls and historic places and touristic attractions. It has a gym and pool also.

Everything is okay except during night, i have troubled to sleep because of the club next to the hotel playing music so loud till i can hear it in my room. For service i give 4 star because my husband left a card for me at the receiption but the staff said they didn’t receive any card, was waiting and wondering infront of the receiption, they were ignoring me and not double check. i ask them so many times. i have to ask them one by one if they saw the card, like they can’t inform each other? then when they found the card, one of them just give it to me without saying sorry or anything. duh.
that’s all other than that it’s a very comfortable hotel and worth every penny 👌🏻

Although the hotel may be a bit outdated in terms of its ambiance, but it definitely redeemed itself with high quality services, ample event space, clean interior, stable WiFi and swift reception. Staying here for work or pleasure purposes is convenient because of its location and main access roads.

I was attending a wedding in the banquet hall (ballroom). Food was nice + delicious.

Please double check the menu list again before serving the dishes. Thankx.

Undoubtedly best hotel to stay in Melaka with a great view of Straits of Malacca and outstanding hospitality. Rooms are clean and specious.

My family and have been going here for quite some time and never once have we been disappointed. The services here are great and the staffs are very helpful and polite which i really am happy about! Highly recommend everyone to come here whenever you’re in Melacca! 🥰

Booked a 3 days and 2 nights with my family of 4. Booked interconnecting rooms- great size and well appointed. Room fixtures are well maintained though things do look it’s age. The carpets along the corridor do give off a musty smell- it’s time for a change. The service from the front desk to housekeeping was a highlight for me- staff were always greeting me and were almost always responsive to my every requests which was a plus for me given the needs of traveling with young children. The location of this hotel is really convenient with shuttle bus to and fro jonker street and hotel being a 5 min walk to the nearest shopping mall. Have stayed here more than 7 times since 2014 and I must commend the holiday inn for being so consistent with its service standards.

Nice clean room. Enough parking space..and it was free! Lunch is okay but breakfast could be improve with more variety.

It is a nice hotel but the disco opposite the hotel was a bit too much with music too loud throughout the night till over midnight. Guess it is not owned by the hotel, and the hotel might have been trying to do something with it. Otherwise, expect music pounding while you are trying to sleep if your room is facing the disco.

I would like to say kudos to the Front Office Personnel Ms. Elisya .Thank you for putting in the extra effort to accommodate my tour group this afternoon, despite been harased rudely by another customer which he just interrupted my checking in process. You have shown such professional attitude by politely dealing with his impudent behavior.
My clients and I truly appreciates it and your positive attitude has given us such a pleasant stay here in Holiday Inn Melaka.

I am staying for 3 day and 2 night here for work related seminar. The room were clean, I can say new and feel fresh. The food were wonderfully delicious. I love their automatic coffee machine where I easily can get an espresso, cappuccino, or just Americano. The hotel dining area is very clean and comfortable suitable for couples or even for a family. They even has spa service if you want to.

The location of this hotel is very strategic as it is within walk distance to any entertainment nor shopping area also good interior and wonderful services however there are some things that they can improve such as the carpet odour from the hallways also the bellboy service (fasten the communication and service)

here’s some info

your toiletries are provided (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand wash) are all from dove. You do however need to ask the receptionist for combs, toothbrushes and shavers since they don’t provide it in the room.

the beds are comfy while the pillows are firm and soft. The AC in the room is also decent even though the weather outside do effect its performance.

the breakfast is scrumptious and provide a whole lot of variety from malay cuisine to japanese cuisine (which is rare here) the pastries however is not that many (standard hotel choices) there is a coffee machine that guests can make a whole variety of coffee with. there’s also 4 non caffeine beverages available such as pink guava, orange juice, plain water and mango/apple juice

for room service you need to pay on sight since it will not be added to your bill so prepare cash beforehand

the swimming pool is infinity typed (for adults) and there is a kiddy pool available. There’s no lifeguard on duty so you’re on your own.

If I were to suggest an opinion to maximise the experience, Do add a convenience store @ the lobby or parking grounds for guests to buy some essentials or snacks.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay @ Holiday Inn Melaka and would recommend it to my mutuals soon.

Really enjoyed our stay though it was just a short one. From the lobby entrance to the reception and dining area, the team was polite, professional, and helpful. Thumbs up to their customer service.

The room was clean, good and well prepared, we were glad to have a free room upgrade (view& bathtub).

Breakfast spread was okay though the waiters and manager can be stricter with the SOP as there were a few customers who did not wear mask while taking food from the buffet line. The Italian food downstairs was affordable and delicious.

Our first stay at the hotel last week. Having just spent a few days at a luxury hotel in KL, this hotel felt aged in every way. But the service standard more than made up for it. Special mention for Zul, a member of the conceige team - he was sincere, attentive and observant. 5-star experience made possible by a good team.
