The room we had was so spacious and even had a semi-private patio. If you have difficulty walking, get a room near the lobby. Our room was far away and many stairs--although an elevator did exist? but we never saw it. We loved the room and the rooms varied so much so others in our party had other unique views,m etc.
The breakfast was included and was OK.
The staff was very friendly.
The location was not too close to all the touristy sections of the area.

As a local visiting a tourist place, I thought I will be surprised by the high prices and minimum quality for service and food, however; everything about my experience there was super great! Reasonable prices, great service, excellent food portions and quality.
Highly recommended for anyone willing to stay for one night at Petra since it’s located few meters away from the Visitors Center and wants a great food experience at a one of a kind restaurant.

I stayed here while visiting Jordan as I wanted to explore Petra and the surrounding area. The hotel was perfectly located at the entrance of Petra which was great after a day out trekking in the sun! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and the room was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Petra

Location alone can't be beat! If you're a fast walker like me, you'll be able to visit Petra in the morning and still get back before checking out, to take a quick shower! That made my day so much better. The staff was absolutely incredible and the bar was really nice. My only semi-negative comment is the outdated room. However, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked and I was not there to look at the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

Extra thank you to Omar for being very kind and making sure I had everything in the morning.

Best location in Petra. Amazing ambience and facilities. The cave bar is a vibe. We hung out every day for the 3 nights we were there. Hanadi at the front desk was the most hospitable person we met in all of Jordan, extremely kind and helpful. She went out of her way to help and guide us. If you’re in Petra, this is the place you should be staying. It’s adjacent to the entrance and helps to make the most of your time to visit the site!

I’ve already provided a 5-star review for the adjacent Cave Bar and so this review is of the hotel itself.

Situated very close to the entrance to the Petra archaeological site, this is the perfect location to explore. Stayed in Room 222, which had been recently added, and so the decor was really nice with great views of people & horses starting or returning from their visit to the site.

All staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection and service were the best I experienced in Jordan.

I wasn’t, however, impressed with the Foreign Currency Exchange offered (but not provided) as I went there on two consecutive days (at different times) and they had run out of local currency on both occasions. Also one of only two elevators was out of service for the duration of my visit.

Other than these issues everything else was excellent!

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the vicinity to Petra (literally behind the hotel), the location, the rooms, the service that I found super nice and kind, everybody speaks at least a little bit of English (not to take for granted here), and other languages as well. Everybody is super nice especially Salah and Aseel who is a nice trainee girl. A safe place with good and a large variety of food at the buffet. Would definitely recommend. Thank you love youu

The accommodation is 4.5/5. The hotel has the best location in whole Petra because it is located just at the entrance of Petra’s main gate. Thus the price is unavoidably expensive. Zaid and Hanadi of the reception are very kind and gave us a lot of information about the Petra tour. They explained the equipments and services of the hotel in detail and patiently. So it’s the best choice for travelers who have enough budget.

I had an incredible experience at Petra Guest House in Jordan. The service was absolutely spectacular, and our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Amer and Omar and everyone from the staff went above and beyond in taking care of us. The food was delicious, and the ambiance created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for a memorable stay!

We loved our stay at the Petra guest house! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. It is in a great location and super close to the visitor center. The only thing that was kind of a bummer is there was only one outlet that worked without the lights on, so make sure you don’t count on charging your phone at night if you have more than one person. We also ate at the cave bar and the food was super great!

The service is great. The staffs are very warm and welcoming :) The location is amazing because we are right at the entrance of Petra, so there is nothing to be complained about.

There are a few good local food joints nearby. There is also Cave Bar in the hotel that sells alcohol.

Hotel is next to Petra entrance, the location is unbeatable. Staff was friendly. The Cave Bar is super cool, a bit expensive but that’s okay. It’s the oldest bar in the world apparently! Food is mainly buffet style, it’s not bad. For a local restaurant experience, go to Moms Recipe 5 min walk away.

Best hotel accommodation when visiting Petra. The hotel is literally a few steps away from the site entrance. The rooms are huge and very clean. The staff is very polite and ready to assist at all times, for example we forgot to bring toothpaste, or book you a taxi or assist you in booking any activities in the area. They do a BBQ buffet a few times a week for dinner which is very tasty and you can have it before attending the Petra by night at the site.

If you’re traveling to Jordan and have ANY interest in visiting Petra, you should look no further than staying at the Petra Guest House!
The entrance to Petra is steps away from the hotel, there literally is not a closer hotel. And this really comes in handy after walking all day through Petra. You will not regret it.

We had a hiccup in our plans and ended up getting one less day at the hotel than originally planned. The hotel manager spared no expenses when making it up to us.
We were greeted with welcome tea, a room upgrade and 2 comped buffet dinners.
The front desk staff was absolutely phenomenal and kind.
There is a gift shop near the front desk in the lobby. Every souvenir you could ever need and the prices are lower than anything I saw inside Petra.
Wonderful shop owner and wonderful hotel and staff! I hope to stay here again one day!

Location, location, location. We were here during the off season, so some renovations and refurbishment happening, but still good. Staff very accommodating.

Very well located, rooms are comfortable and the hotel staff are incredibly helpful.
The bar is convenient and one of the few places in the area to get alcohol.
Restaurant is buffet only and the food is decent.

Cons:
There are steps up to most of the rooms.
The manager got bombarded us on WhatsApp to alter reviews.

While this isn’t the newest or must luxurious hotel in the area, it excels for two reasons: location and service.

For the location, you are *literally* at the entrance of Petra - it’s not possible to be closer. You’re also a 2 minute walk from all the restaurants and shops should you need them.

For the service, you really couldn’t ask for more. Everyone was so kind to us, and went out their way to make sure our stay was nice. It was my wife’s birthday and they decorated the room on our arrival and then surprised us with cake on the night of her birthday.

Beyond that, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the water pressure is good and the breakfast is solid. We stayed one night at a more luxury and expensive hotel and it didn’t check all the boxes that this place did. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

The hotel was lovely, well maintained. We were upgraded for free to a suite overlooking the Petra view. Rooms are big and clean.
The staff is charming, a good host, welcoming with kindness and a smile. Very helpful.
The hotel's restaurant is also good. Elo Vera Restaurant.
The entrance to the hotel is right next to the souvenir dock, the Petra museum and the entrance to the Petra tourist site. In addition, close to all the restaurants in the area, a minute's walk away.
Before entering the hotel there is an amazing bar built inside a cave (cave bar) that is more than 2000 years old. Amazing design. You can also enter and see the cave itself.

The best location in Petra! Nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The bathroom was well equipped and the wifi and air conditioner worked as expected. Nothing to complain! I'd stay again in this hotel!
