Stayed here for two nights. The room was very good. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and safe. Good location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fluent in Arabic, English, and we heard other languages being used as well. I was very happy with our experience here and I would definitely stay here again. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The views of the town from the restaurant terrace are also noteworthy.

Very nice hotel, with a great location and not too big. Staff is very caring, and the food is good (maqluba was very good). Parking in front of the hotel, and less than a kilometer from the entrance of Petra site.
Everything is very clean.
The little terrace at the restaurant level and the other one at the floor level are really pleasant.

We stayed here for 1 night in April (two families with children). The stay was comfortable and we liked the stay very much. The rooms were clean and have all required facilities. The food was really awesome (we had dinner (served so many verities of dips with Rice and Chicken) and breakfast too had many options (apple juice was really nice)) and people served us well. Additionally, the hotel had great views from rooms as well as from the eat out place on 3rd floor.

Surprisingly an excellent option in Petra. Great location, super views, accommodating staff, excellent rooms (spacious and modern), convenient parking.

The breakfast was a bit shoddy, but all else was perfect.

Very nice 3* hotel located 5 minutes by car from the entrance to the famous ancient Petra site. We arrived 2am at the hotel and the owner/manager waited for our arrival to welcome us. Extremely good price for that location. The room was decent and comfy, with a beautiful morning view on Wadi Musa. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast buffet was decent and plentiful. Waiter at the buffet was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Definitely the place to stay if you plan a visit to Petra and if you are looking value for money.

This is a very nice hotel close to the Petra Visitor Center. A minor negative is that it's located on the top of a hill, so you have to walk up after a tiring Petra hike (not a big problem, but it's good to expect). It's a small hotel with about 12 rooms, but they are relatively spacious and very clean. We also had a balcony. The breakfast is simple but plentiful. The staff are nice and very helpful. We requested a transfer from Aqaba to Petra and back. Naji, the owner, sent their best car for us, with a nice driver! The prices are also very good, it was a very nice experience to stay here. I can only recommend it to everyone!

A value for money hotel located very close to Petra’s entrance (Petra Visitor Center). The hosts are very helpful and they will make sure you experience no problems during your stay there and they are very willing to offer recommendations about places to visit/eat around the area. The clean and quiet rooms and the very comfortable beds will ensure your rest. Decent breakfast offering a few options.

The hotel is small and very clean. It is about 10 mins walking from Petra Visitor Center (uphill!) in a very quiet area. Breakfast was very good and with lot of food. All the 3 men at the reception were friendly and speaking good English

I love privacy here. I did not go anywhere after i went to petra. Totally relaxed. The reception guy is super helpful. Good bloke. It’s little out of the main Petra area, which is good. Expect some tranquility here.
It’s rather on the scale of luxurious and compact

The hotel was brand new, very close to the Petra Gate (600 m walking). The rooms were amazing, very confortable and with all the services. Very good price for a double room.
The crew from the hotel was very friendly and kind and they helped us for every question and requirement we had.
I really recommend this site!

I stayed at the Shaqilath for 3 nights in December 2019. The hotel is well situated for a visit to Petra, being roughly 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from the Visitor Center. The room was of a good size and clean with more than adequate amenities. Fikry spoke excellent English and upon my arrival was very helpful with suggestions and tips about how to visit Petra. The staff was generally very service-oriented with respect to my stay, breakfasts and dinners, and going above and beyond with helping with any issues that arose. I would happily stay at Shaqilath again and am pleased to recommend them to others.

A first rate hotel in Wadi Musa. Easily walk to the entrance to Petra from here--it's less than one kilometer away. Off-street parking is available directly across the street from the hotel. Rooms are exceptionally modern and clean. Decent wifi. Plenty of hot water. A good breakfast with home-cooked omelets along with a buffet. Altogether a great small hotel with friendly owner and staff. Strongly recommend it.

Nice, modern hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms are cozy and clean with electric cattle, hair dryer, TV, fridge. 1st floor rooms have nice panorama on Wadi Musa. Beds are big and comfy (if they only strip plastic covers hidden under sheets. I know they're new ;-))

Hotel provide shuttle service to the Petra entrance so its location (just 10 min walk from Visitor Center) in not an issue anymore. It is much closer to the Petra entrance than most downtown hotels anyway.

There is an atmospheric breakfast/dinner lounge by the reception and a bar so you can order your tea/coffee/juice anytime. We ordered a dinner in their outdoor Bedu tent (just backdoor) and get tasty food (plenty ;-) We had nice party there. Despite cold weather (Jan19) outside
heater kept us totally warm.

My only complain is an "instable" shower regulator. Water is ether too hot or too warm, but you can solve this problem setting shower's lever at "half pressure".

Actually my main reason to select this hotel (I guide photo/adventure expeditions mostly in Wadi Rum) was its ambiance, feeling if you will. Just a few decoration changes and it can comfortably aspire to "boutique" hotel category.

After our 2 nights stay my group was happy about selection of
Shaqilath. I will definitely come back.

This is an excellent local hotel that is only a 5 minute walk (1 minute drive) away from Petra. The staff speak English and are very accommodating. I felt like a part of the Jordanian family as I sipped tea with them in the lobby and smoked shisha with them after dinner. The hotel is beautifully designed and the living quarters are spacious and comfortable. Be sure to take advantage of the authentic breakfast and dinner which are delicious.

As a frequent international traveler, I hate being stuck in the tourist trap. So whenever I am in the area I will definitely be staying here, with my new friends.
