Fantastic local food. The baked chicken tomatoes dish and lamb was so delicious. Best Lentil soup I had along Egypt and Jordan. Highly recommend it. They also have wonderful flavoured tabouli with Couscous in it. A must try

Visited here a couple of months ago, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had a camel kebab, hummus, kibbeh, and a rice and meat dish (forget the name!).

They are slightly off the main shopping strip so it's a little bit quieter. Highly recommend.

It was really good food. We tried the kibbeh, chicken and shish kebab. It was tasty. The proportions was good. The man serving us was also nice and fun. We wanted to have some dipping sauce to the food and he was helpful to assist us with that.

Very good restaurant serving traditional and other dishes in the upper part of Petra, very nice waiters and very good price. I recommand it.

Good place to have dinner in the middle of a lot of tourist traps. We had Mansaf (very good), Maqluba, Musakhan (exccellent) and Gulaya (very good). Service was quick and friendly. We went back a couple of days later for burgers and shewarmas which were also good.

Clearly the best food we’ve had in Jordan! So fragrant and full of flavor. Excellent hospitality. We were well taken care of. Highly recommend if you are in Wadi Musa. Thank you Zawaya Restaurant!

The food here was amazing. Good prices considering how much food you get. The service from Mohammad was 5+ stars. We were treated like VIP the entire time. We will be back. He gave us mint tea at the end and several other dishes on the house. Truly a wonderful evening.

Out of all of the restaurants we tried in Petra Jordan, Zawaya was the best!!! So authentic, fresh ingredients, and felt home cooked.. a must try when in Jordan!
You will not regret. The service was amazing and they made us feel like we were family.

We wanted to come here for dinner after seeing some of the excellent reviews this restaurant has received and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

Our waiter Mohammed was immediately very welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived. He helped explain the menu to us and the differences between the various dishes so we felt in very capable hands!

The quality of the food was fantastic as well, great portion sizes and everything cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the chicken Mandi, it was superb!

All washed down with complimentary mint tea and an extra portion of deliciously sweet Warbat!

I think the best food in Petra area. You can get so many food in really good price. Very pleasant waiter, food delicious, prices good - what can you want more.. ☺

Our first night we ate at Zawaya and it was delicious! The portions were plentiful, the meat (we had lamb and chicken) from our dishes were cooked just right. I had the maqluba and mutabal - both were excellent. My partner has the kasbah which he also enjoyed. Would recommend.

Zawaya gave us one of the tastiest meals we've had in Jordan. The Mandi and Chicken Sawany were deeply flavoursome and if you are a fan of extra spice don't hesitate to ask Mohammed, he's an energetic superstar who made our meal that much more enjoyable!

We hit a cold spell when we visited but they gave us coats and moved the heaters closer to us to warm us up which was nice.
Good menu I had the lamb Gallaya which was very nice.  Thick tomato based sauce and plenty of meat.  My husband had the Musakhan which had lots of tasty onions.
Complimentary tea and a hot coconut dessert was a lovely touch. Friendly service.

Loved the place! Faire prices, good quality. Nice staff, they were quick and helped us choosing the food (and tough us how to eat it hahaaa). They even offered us hummus and tee ❤ I recommend it 100%

I was looking for pasta and I found nice meal in this restaurant. Staff was very kind, as the service itself :-) . Beside of the amazing meals, it offers landscape view. It doesn't matter you eat inside or in outside. I was impressed :-). I highly recommend to visit this restaurant. For sure once I will be hungry again, I know, where to go ..
