Anbat Midtown Hotel

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Anbat Midtown hotel in Petra, Jordan, and I can't recommend it enough!

The location of the hotel is simply unbeatable.

You'll find a variety of dining options within walking distance.

The hospitality at Anbat Midtown is truly humble and heartwarming.

When it comes to logistics, the hotel offers excellent assistance with airport transfers and other tours.

Last but not least, I can't say enough about the outstanding assistance I received from the owner, Ammar. His dedication to ensuring my comfort and satisfaction is truly remarkable. Ammar's personal touch and involvement add a unique and personal aspect to the stay that you won't find at most hotels.

Great hotel!

Owner is fun and happy to help; he drove use to the Visitor Center and back, he also managed to find my lost sunglasses!

Rooms are well taken care and air conditioning works great

Moreover the breakfast was really good!

good view. water pressure is little bad and can't change the temperature on AC, at least on our room. great location and has some activities at evening. has breakfast, but has to be paid separately. has parking spots and lots of cameras, so good security.

Very nice hotel. The location is great. The room was cozy, with a very large bed. They offer various options for excursions, shuttle to Petra, and transport to the opposite part of Petra (the monastery). Just ask the host. Lunch boxes could be also purchased from them.
I liked the bar: in the evening you could smoke shisha and in the morning have a good breakfast while enjoying the town view.

I did not stay at the hotel, but I can rate their friendliness. The owner picked me up from the Visitor Center together with two girls staying at his hotel. Because it was hot and my hotel was next to his, he gave me a lift for free! Even the next day, he would pick me up together with his guests again (free shuttle offered at his hotel) and he would not charge me for it! It was really nice of him and I wanted to say thanks again ☺🙏

My partner and I only stayed 1 night instead of the 3 nights we originally booked as I unfortunately had a fall in Petra, and I needed to be transferred to the hospital in Amman.
However, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We have been completely blown away by Ammar’s kindness and hospitality.
This is a small family run business and Ammar, and his family went beyond expectations.
The location is perfect, right in the middle of Wadi Musa, just a few minutes’ walk away from many restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacy, bakery, ATM and a 15mn walk to Petra.
When we arrived on our first day, we were welcomed with some lovely drinks. Ammar provided us with all the info’s we needed and lead us to our room and made sure we were happy with it.
Our room was very spacious, really cosy, quiet, and exceptionally clean. We also had a huge and comfortable bed which was a bonus 😊
The hotel also has a rooftop with some amazing views of Wadi Musa and has a private parking which was ideal since we rented a car.
Now I really want to highlight the incredible kindness we received from Ammar. After my accident in Petra, Ammar went out of his way to pick up my partner and I from Petra’s hospital, drove us to multiple pharmacies and looked after us the entire afternoon before I was transferred to another hospital in Amman. He also came to visit me in hospital with his brother in Amman and has been in touch on a regular basis to check how I was.
Without Ammar and his help, we would not have known what to do and I cannot thank him enough for everything he and his family did for us. I will always be incredibly grateful.
We have travelled all lot in Europe, Asia, Middle East US etc and we have never experienced so much kindness and help from an hotel owner.
For obvious reasons, we had to cut our trip short, but we will come back and finish it next year and we will book Anbat Midtown Hotel without a doubt!!

Perfect attention on the hotel. On reception spoken spanish, english, etc.
No alcohol on the rooftop.
15 minutes away for the visitor center. Hard to do when return from seeing Petra because the ramp and the unevenness, but they have shuttle service.

My stay at Anbat Midtown Hotel exceeded all my expectations. This is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

Ammar and his brothers went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay at the hotel. I have no words for the hospitality they provided.

The location is perfect near food places, money exchange, also near a beautiful mosque where the adhaan can be heard.

The hotel also has a shisha rooftop restaurant with spectacular views of Wadi Musa. The shisha is also one of the best we have had in Jordan.

The hotel offers transfers to Petra, and offers Night by Petra tickets which I would recommend to take.

Ammar also took us round the back so we could start at the monastery first and then work our way down as opposed to climbing so many steps!

Great hospitality, very nice hotel with the beautiful view from the rooftop. Ammar, our host, is very kind and hospitable person, he gave us tea, personally led us to the room, showed us everything. The room was very nice, the bed was huge and very comfortable, with a lot of pillows. The view in our room was awesome. I sincerely recommend this hotel! Thank you Ammar!

This is the best hotel probably in the whole city! The room was very clean, we had our private bathroom, with towels and soaps. The people working here are amazing. Picked us up and drove down when we needed it. 10/10 highly recommended.

Good location, friendly staffs, good price, we had a really good time here.

They even provide the transfer to Petra visitor Center. Trust me, you will not want to walk that 1.5km since there is a long walk inside Petra 😆

We are very happy to had found this place for our visit to Petra. From the beginning we felt very welcome with two welcome drinks. Our room was big and had everything we could have asked for. There ia even a procedure that they show you that the blankets are clean...
Location is ideal for Petra, restaurants and shops in the center of the town.
If you want a window, then go to the rioftop! Amazing view.

Stayed in this hotel in January 2020. Very good location, close to the bus station, restaurants, cafés, shops. Decent breakfast served on the top floor with great views. The hotel offers free transport to Petra’s visitors centre. Helpful staff, free tea in the lobby. Internet speed/connection could’ve been a bit better.

One of the place you feel like home. The best coffee in Petra is made by the owner. The best food is also there for breakfast. This is a small family business and they did more they I could ever asked for.
I am only sorry for having spent to little time with Petra and this whole experience but when I will return they are top of the list for me.

The host (family owned hotel) are so friendly and helpful. I’d have loved to stay longer there.

Great spot at a great price! Awesome location close to lots of restaurants and only about a 25-30 minute downhill walk to get to Petra. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast included was good. The only minor issue I had is that the washroom cleaning was not very thorough. It wasn't a big issue and still very acceptable with above average cleanliness. Would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to see Petra! We paid 15 JD per night.

Great view from the restaurant where the breakfast is served! The breakfast gets 5 out of 5* - you will love it if you love arabic food! I also appreciate helpful staff of the hotel - everyone always smiling and helpful:) I would say the room is ideal when it comes to size and facilities, but the bathroom would definitely look better after renovation. Location is just a minute or so drive from the main road and also the area around has many shops, restaurants, cafes and convenient stores!

Cosy, comfortable and clean! With beautiful view at the town, especially at night! Next to the center of the town with many places to eat and drink and buy anything. Also free drive to Petra's entrance.
