The White Swan

Amazing find , we were getting soaked British weather at its best. So we popped by chance and had lovely meal. I had the steak and ale pie.. and as a pie connoisseur it was top quality, a lovely hard crust and full of steak. I very nearly didn’t finish it as it was very filling. I stepped up to the challenge. My partner loved the vegetarian option(sorry no picture).friendly staff topped it off. It was a bit noisy as it had a group of lads by the bar but it’s to be expected. But I loved the place,full of history, good food at a competitive price, nice staff . So give it a try

Came here tonight with a party of 30 university students and faculty from the US. Food, beer, and service were excellent. Everything was very clean and the place had a comfortable vibe. Thanks for taking such great care of our group!

This pub ticks all the boxes for a fantastic evening out. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu offered a good variety, and everything we tried was delicious.
But the true highlight of this pub is its impressive selection of drinks. They boast a fantastic range of beers. The spirits selection was equally impressive, with a knowledgeable bar staff happy to recommend something.

Another cozy pub with excellent service. The beer was great but our meat pies were just okay. I had the wild boar pie and my husband had the chicken pie and both lacked meat! The crust was delicious. Buttery and crispy but each should have had more wild boar, and chicken considering each were almost twenty pounds! When we went to Boroughs Market we saw them for six pounds each!!!

Sarah was brilliant...give her a raise. She managed our table of 13 (adults and guests) like a pro. Calm, attentive and friendly. Everything went perfectly, we were very grateful.

The food was tasty and varied, I particularly liked the fish pie. Would definitely recommend

We had the best dinner experience at the White Swan on our first night in London! On a traditionally busy Sunday, we were still able to find comfortable seating without need for a wait. The menu had plenty of variety, all of which sounded fresh and authentic. The Sunday roast beef dinner was absolutely delicious!! Most importantly, the staff were helpful and attentive. Alfie made sure all our needs were met, and he was always fulfilled our requests in a timely manner He allowed for friendly conversation to make us feel comfortable and offered beer and travel recommendations. We also briefly got to meet Lara, who was extremely kind and generous. Thank you, Alfie and Lara! The White Swan is a pub you don’t want to miss!

Went there with my family visiting london. Random visit but very satisfying. Proper British pub atmosphere. We had a drink then decided to eat, the fish and chips is amazing 🤩 . Great service from the team really smiling and good customer service . I highly recommend this place

Pubs are EVERYWHERE in London, but they are not all the same. Same measure rules on drinks, strict as expected, no Champagne by the glass usually (bottle only) but prosecco for sure.

Staff and proprietors that care about service and atmosphere make the difference. We were here during the World Cup and visit whenever we are in town. I have never written a review but now is the time. We have not eaten at the White Swan but plenty of folks were doing so. My review is simple; be here, drink, eat, be merry, have fun. It's not going anywhere however you need to come here if you have not. It's been here for like 275 years or so and my guess is they will be here for another 300 easy :D. They do it right.

This is such a beautiful place, and the food!! OMG! Soooooooo gooood! So tasty, yummm. And the staff is so welcoming and polite. Would highly recommend.

My recent homecoming celebration at the White Swan was nothing short of exceptional. The pub's food was excellent, with every dish cooked to perfection. The fish pie, in particular, was delicious as was the boar & chorizo pie, which had a rich smooth warm comforting taste - great for the cold. They also have a good selection of vegetarian options which half our group had and where very impressed by the dishes.

Sarah, our attentive waitress, was a true gem, exuding professionalism and warmth that made our dining experience truly special. Her hospitality skills were exceptional, and her genuine care for our well-being made us feel like valued guests.

I wholeheartedly commend the entire staff at the White Swan for their exceptional service and culinary artistry. Their efforts transformed our homecoming into an unforgettable occasion. I'm already planning to return for a Christmas meal, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a truly memorable dining experience.

This is lovely little lively pub with an upstairs restaurant that serves lovely pies and amazing traditional English deserts.
Sarah made the day with amazing attitude, a welcoming smile and fantastic service. A gem of a find in a busy, bustling area.

Passed through London and wanted to catch a game, screens everywhere and easy to see, staff was very friendly and served delicious beef pie. Highly recommend.

Strongly recommend visiting this pub if in Central London.

Considering most pubs in the area are average to poor, this is anything but.

Manager was very attentive and attended to any request swiftly and happily.

The food was also brilliant - excellent place.

Nice pub near to Leicester Square / Covent Garden. Staff were friendly and there was a decent selection of beers. We enjoyed the live music. Will certainly visit again soon

Cosy pub in the middle of the Covent Garden madness, but not so packed like the other pubs around if you are lucky. The pint of neck oil was perfect.

Lovely tradition pub offering nice real ales and good food but I was there just for drink. Beautiful atmosphere with dark wood deco. Toilets upstairs which is not good for majority. Inside and outside seating.

Great food, great service with friendly wait staff, the atmosphere is buzzing and great to catch a vibe off it. Would highly recommend this pub to anyone considering going
