Old Nick

The Old Nick, hidden away on Sandland Street, just north of High Holborn is a delightful quaint pub offering a fine choice of beers both from the cask (3 on for my visit) and the keg (My "washing up" lager was excellent, cold and fresh). The staff are wonderful, jolly, friendly and efficient. The pub has made the excellent move to open at 10:00 in the morning, a great post pandemic statement. The pub, originally called the Three Cups (so said the website) has now been renamed after either a Lawyer or the Devil himself (How can you tell the difference? I hear you ask). The decor is all stained wood with chequerboard tiles around the bar. Walls are adorned with photos reflecting a bygone era, a great place to visit if you want to feel a bit of London from earlier times. You can still watch Wimbledon on the TV though! A pub thoroughly recommended.

While walking to our Hotel after a wonderful Tate Modern Cezanne Exhibition we were quite ready for a relaxing pub experience and we found it just off Red Lion St on Sandland St..what a warm welcome and unsure of what beer to order, the staff discussed and invited us to try Badger ale from their Dorset Brewery and they met our thirst in a very fine way..inside the pub there is wooden flooring and beautiful glass panels…total warm atmosphere led to the relaxation we were wanting…

Very nice little pub just off high holborn. A welcome sanctuary in early winter. You should try it.

This was my granddad's old pub back in the day. It was called The Three Cups then. Nice cosy friendly feel to the place.

Lovely pub which we hired for a private event on the weekend. Staff were friendly and helpful and easy to arrange and book the space.

Great after-work pub, lots of space to stand outside which is always busy in Thursdays. Cosy areas to sit inside. Good for booking small events too.

Solid beer selections, great decor, freshest smelling pub toilets I've ever sniffed.

The drinks seem to be well priced, and the ambience is pretty good. Washrooms are usually always clean, and near some good food spots!

Amazing service and very yummy bar snacks which were Indian themed when I last visited! Hosted a party there and the staff were extremely helpful, assisting us in the setting up, recommending great food choices and providing impeccable service throughout the night. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I would strongly recommend a visit to Old Nick's.

Nice to find a drinking pub with a nice atmosphere and good beers. Not the kind of place you come across by accident because it is tucked away. Take the trouble to look it up!

London pub with lots of wood panels, etched glass and lawyers. Main attraction is the regularly rotated selection of ales from the Badger Brewery in Dorset. Really good well-kept beer. If you are lucky, they'll have Fursty Ferret which I recommend.

Great place for an event. We had the Gothic Valley WI Halloween party there. Staff were amazingly helpful, special cocktails for us, great food ... Highly recommended
