I recently had the pleasure of staying at DUKES London and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel's classic charm and luxurious amenities made for an unforgettable experience. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, providing personalized recommendations and exceptional service. My room was elegantly decorated with a comfortable bed and top-notch amenities. The hotel's bar is famous for its legendary martinis, and I can attest to their excellence. The location was perfect, just a short walk from many of London's top attractions. I would highly recommend DUKES London to anyone looking for a truly exceptional hotel experience in London.

If you want top quality service, delicious dining options, and comfortable, well-appointed rooms, this is your best choice. Perfect location! Easy to get to museums, restaurants, and shopping. Buckingham Palace is a quick walk around the corner one way and Piccadilly Circus is a short walk the other way.

The rooms were well sized. Linens, beds, and pillows were all comfortable. Bathroom had lots of space and lovely products. I don’t understand why they use cheap toilet tissue though. Bring your own.

The food was so good we ate most of our meals in the hotel restaurants or from room service. Delicious and fast service. The Irish soda bread was something I still dream about.

The front desk staff and bell staff were the most helpful! Jose and the others truly made us feel welcome. There was nothing we couldn’t ask for or about. Service was impeccable!

Rooms are small and cozy. Location is excellent. And the staff is helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. It lives up to its five stars. Love Jose at the front desk. He helped make our visit memorable.

I visited the place for the first time to try the breakfast there with my lovely husband. Everything was organised and classy. The staff were very polite and welcoming I really liked that.

I had eggs with spinach and cheese but they asked me before if I want to start with coffee or tea. The breakfast is good and tasty I really recommend that.

The perfect location for a special afternoon tea for 10. A great space, in the Great British restaurant, for our group’s celebration. The service was efficient, attentive and we felt very welcome. Afternoon tea was delicious with a range of sweet and savoury treats. Thank you to the staff at Dukes for making our visit one to remember.

What amazing experience. I went to London by myself for 5 days for a wedding. The wedding happen to be at the Dukes Hotel so I decided to stay there. Everything was perfect from the room, to the service, to the food to the wedding! Even the Martini Bar was tremendous. I see why they only allow 2 of them! The best part is it is slightly off the beaten path and there are not too many guests, so it was never crazy there like some other nice city hotels.

Had an awesome afternoon tea experience here. Serene our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Loved the variety they had with savoury part: goats cheese tart and free refill of the sandwiches (including an amazing egg brioche roll).. Cakes were awesome too.. highly recommended.

We went for tea and we were very touched by how accommodating they were of two women with prams. They were very kind, despite us taking up a huge amount of space and only going for tea/coffee. They found us a quiet area and helped us up and down the steps with the strollers.

We dined here (sadly couldn't book a room) and enjoyed the food and LOVED the cocktail bar. Mr Palazzi's cocktails are wonderful (and lethal hence why you are limited to 2). Am looking forward to returning.

Went for afternoon tea, the food was delicious with a nice range of sweet and savoury treats, and a large selection of teas, with the option to try more than one. Service was great, attentive and friendly, without feeling rushed.

This was a fantastic experience as wanted to go there for so long. Just make sure you get there early for opening or book in advance.

This was a spontaneous visit. We didn't have to wait long, probably about 10 mins. We arrived at about 4pm I think! We weren't dressed up - my husband was in trainers and we were let in. They didn't comment on our attire!
We both had the vesper martini which was the best we've ever had. It is very strong but if you like a martini, I'd highly recommend it!
It is very quiet and relaxed, which we enjoyed.

If you do go, just pop in the bar to let them know you are there and then you will be asked to wait in the lobby.

This hotel is a treasure and off the beaten path. It’s been around a long time and that’s what I like. The rooms may be smaller than other options, but I enjoy the service of the staff and the feeling of stepping back in time.

I went to the restaurant @ Dukes. Very British and very traditional decor. The food & service are amazing.

The bar. What an amazing experience. Alessandro very much lives up to his reputation as one of the best bartenders in the world. The level of customer service is exemplary. We waited, as everyone does, you must expect this. The experience is worth the wait. We were checked on numerous times during our wait with a high level of old world charm (in spite of the fact that our long term travel outfits, well, were not exactly bespoke lol). Upon entry to the bar the experience just improved. A great degree of care, a great degree of service and an obvious appreciation for the total customer experience. Seems to me that a few negative reviews here reflect a lack of appreciation for what is to be expected here. The many positive reviews reflect the actual experience; old world customer service and a tremendous (in my case) martini. World class.

Ah, the Dukes! Some complain about the small rooms or the difficulty of gaining entry to the bar of an evening, or some perceived one-time lapse in the service. Let the critics carp. It matters not. The Dukes will hopefully always be there to provide its guests with superb hospitality and its atmosphere of informal, understated elegance. I have travelled the world for 50 years now, and there are few lodgings anywhere that command not just my loyalty but my genuine affection. The Dukes is certainly one. Whether it's relaxing with that third cup of coffee after breakfast in The Drawing Room or having a perfectly made late-night martini in the legendary bar, you can always count on the Dukes to provide the same standard of excellence as on your last visit. Regarding the bar, guests should be aware that the affable manager, Alessandro il Magnifico, will bend over backwards to accommodate special requests. Hotel guests should be aware that they can reserve tables in the bar by contacting Alessandro but get to him as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Long live The Dukes!

We came here so celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary & they couldn't have been kinder. A complimentary bottle of prosecco to the room was a lovely touch, as was the mulled wine & mince pies upon arrival. Thanks Dukes team!

I visited the Dukes Hotel for an afternoon tea at the drawing room! The view was lovely, the service was excellent and all staff were friendly and polite. The afternoon tea was so tasty, you had a vegan option and a vegetarian one too! Would definitely be going there again!
