The Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾

Two weeks ago, upon arriving at the shop, I discovered it was temporarily closed.

Upon finally gaining entry, I was warmly greeted by a male staff member who offered helpful guidance, including carrying my bag in front.

The store featured a diverse selection of Harry Potter items; while the robes were impressive with their thick fabric, the wand quality was disappointing compared to those at Warner Bros. Studio Tour.
I decided to purchase ties, a unique find not available elsewhere, each costing £12.

The shop was closed for renovations during my visit. The photo line was too long, extending outside the station. I returned around 2 pm; it was quieter, taking about 30 minutes for my turn. Staff helped create a flying scarf effect in the photo. While they offer professional shots for purchase, I opted for others to take photos with my phone. In short, you don't have to pay anything for a photo here, just need to prepare to queue up a bit.

I liked it. It's not all that special, and I did not wait for those 50+ people just to get a shot, otherwise I don't know if I would have liked it. Not sure it's worth the walk, but if you're close by, or have a lot if money - not a bad attraction, it is, 9(1/3), and it's fun. Didn't even look at the prices in the shop, definitely not in my budget.

Location: The shop is located inside King's Cross Station in London, right near where Platform 93⁄4 is marked on the wall between platforms 9 and 10.

Highlights: It has a huge selection of Harry Potter merchandise including clothing, books, wands, candy, collectibles and more. You can get your photo taken standing next to the Platform 93⁄4 sign. Inside the shop feels very magical and immerses you in the Harry Potter world.

Cons: It is extremely crowded and busy, especially on weekends and during holidays. You may have to wait over an hour in the long line just to get your photo taken. The shop can get very cramped and crowded as well.

Who would enjoy: Diehard Harry Potter fans of all ages who want to fully immerse themselves in the fictional platform and world of Harry Potter through shopping and photo opportunities.

Who may not: "Harry who?" or maybe just casual fans or those who don't want to deal with large crowds and long wait times. The prices can also be on the higher side so budget conscious shoppers may not find as much value.

In summary, this London shop located at King's Cross Station is a must-visit for hardcore Harry Potter fans to indulge in the magic, though be prepared for large crowds and long waits.

It's definitely fun to visit this place, especially since it's in the train station. If you're a fan and don't mind waiting in line for a photo, it's a must-do. You'll love it! The shop has everything, and just looking at it is enjoyable. I definitely recommend it.

The shop was quite cute and had lots of unique and exclusive merchandise along with what you’d expect. Be prepared to wait in a line to get in. It looks intimidating at first but we were inside within about 15 minutes.

4 beautiful bedrooms that are beautiful and spacious. Comfortable beds, great food, and a highly popular pub with great beer. Plenty of really cheap parking nearby.

The Crown & Cushion is also blessed with really helpful, friendly staff.

A wonderful location with so much nearby to enjoy and explore.

They’ve updated and made the store larger with great props from the movie!!!! It’s an experience on its own to arrive at the platform and take a picture. Enjoy all the goods and sweets they offer. Personalized letter of hogwarts acceptance!!!

Amazing but when I went there the main shop was closed due to some renovation so they opened a pop up shop.
We had to wait in a queue outside to get in which took about 40min but it was worth it! It’s smaller than the main shop and has less items but it’s still super good. Overall it was a great experience with amazing merchandise and very kind and entertaining staff.

Fantastic! Loved it! They have put up almost everything you can imagine from the world of Harry Potter in store most of which you can purchase for a not very steep price. The positioning is perfect and the timing is good too. A must visit place for every Potter fan. You will mostly end up buying something or the other. Also, they let you take pictures so you needn't buy everything you like. ;)

If you're into Harry Potter you must visit this iconic location! If you are here for the first time dont forget to go for the photoshoot next to the door with the half wanished trolley!
Unforgetable memories, and you can buy the printed copies after you enter the shop! Also you can take poctures with your phone aat the same time for social media.

When youbenter the shop you'll find all sorts of original merch for the Harry Potter franchise. You can purchase your first wand or aim for sweets you will find your heart's desire. Butterbeer, chocolate frogs, chocolate galleons from gringotts are good choice as gifts for your friends and family. If you have a friend who's really into Harry Potter, you must buy them a replica ticker to hogwarts, it is beautifully made with gold foil and nice details.

If you are returnong here you might aim for the seasonal pieces, they might not be here next time.

Absolute dream for any HP fan <3 You will probably have to wait in queue, but it moves pretty fast. The place itself is magical, especially since it is located at King’s Cross! Must go!

I visited the store today as I heard it was recently renovated. The store has a lot of great products and any Harry Potter fan would be in their element! I purchased a wand and Nazia helped me out so much. She made sure I picked the right wand and offered to advise me on the background of each characters wand. Prices are expensive but what can you expect, Harry Potter isn’t cheap.

If you love Harry Potter, it's a must see place! I had to wait about 1 hour on the line to take pictures outside the shop, but you don't need to get in the line to enter in it. I was surprise with the prices, I went to several shops before and even though this is the famous one, It had the lowest prices.

This place is great😄 I’m a huge fan of Harry Potter and this place was on my bucket list. Loved it❤

Harry Potter fans, this is a must to see! The store is not too big but packed with tons of fun stuff. From key chains to stuffed animals, clothing to candies, you will find something you can’t live without. Because this store is very popular and always packed with fans, you must wait a while. Come and get in line!

Great experience for any Harry Potter fan! You can get your photo professionally taken outside with the trolley and a house scarf which you pay for inside. You can also choose yo take your own photo for FREE! Whether you want them to take your photo or you wish to take your own, you still have to join the queue which can be very long. During lunch hours it tends to slow down a bit and also in the evenings, so that’s the best time to go. Mornings tend to be the busiest and also holidays when people are off. They stop taking photos an hour before the store closes but if you’re in the queue, you will still get to take your photo. On days they close at 10pm, the photo services close off at 9:00pm. The store has many amazing options and the price varies greatly. Some of the nicer items like clothing can exceed £50 but there are also cheaper collectibles under £15. It’s definitely worth a visit, even if just to take a photo at the wall.

The station is modern and clean, with the cleanest bathrooms that I've seen in London.

The shop is great, filled with fabulous Harry Potter merchandise for kids and adults.. candy, clothes, books toys and much more.

The photo op is also great, u can hv your photo taken just outside the shop, at the wall that says platform 9 3/4. Unfortunately we arrived arnd 11am and the queue for having our photo taken was over an hour, so.we decided to just shop instead 😁
