River Place Health Centre

I'm surprised to see lots of negative reviews. I've been a patient here for about 15 years and whilst not always perfect in the sense that sometimes getting an appointment can be a bit tricky, the service has always been great. Dr Egerton is excellent, I always ask for an appointment with him wherever he is available, but I have always received excellent care from other GPs and the nurse team too. My children are always seen quickly, examined thoroughly and concerns taken very seriously. I had one issue where my repeat for inhalers were being declined, but the practise manager sorted this out for me very quickly and he was very helpful and apologetic about the issue and I've not had any problems since.

I was a patient of this surgery for the last 2 years. They were always helpful. I preferred to use E-consult service. Whenever I used it I was seen by a doctor the same day or the next day. I can compare them with private insurance which I also have. I got a prescription sooner with this practice then from private hospitals.

Receptionists are always friendly.

We have moved and unfortunately I should find a new clinic.

I have always received very good care from this surgery. All my family are signed up to this doctor surgery to. I really have nothing negative to say I have seen a lot of doctors at the surgery even though my doctor is Dr Sophie Wollaston and she is fantastic. I find the receptionists very polite to

So sad to hear some negative reviews about the GPs at River Place because that's been the opposite of my experience. My partner and I have had a very positive experience with Dr. Sophie Wollaston and Dr. Cristina Crunelli for nearly six years. They are both incredibly kind, patient, empathetic, and have gone out of their way to help us over the years. They are both wonderful GPs and would highly recommend them! Dr. Wollaston works very long hours and will do anything to make sure her patients are looked after.

The staff here work really hard. In 15 years I have never been refused an appointment, even if it did mean hanging around a bit, which I feel is fair enough. Reception staff are sympathetic and helpful, and all the doctors I’ve seen have been great. People complaining have unrealistic expectations of NHS

I’m not sure about all the reviews about rude receptionists but I’ve registered not long ago and the doctors are lovely and the receptionists didn’t cause me any trouble i really appreciate this gp and the people working there.

I have been with the GP for a few months and the service has been fantastic. Everything from making appointments, follow ups, and the care of the GPs has been excellent and I can't praise it enough.

My GP specifically has been great at helping me every time I visit and I feel cared for and supported by the team. Their knowledge is excellent and it has made a real difference to me.

very good service provided today, emergency care required for a diabetic and dialysis patient was able to get the patient booked within a few minutes of the call to consult with a GP. excellent service please carry on, we need GP surgeries like this.

users please look beyond the reception staff, the GPs here are great that is what counts.

This has been my Doctor's for 35 years and it hasn't always been a perfect experience but I believe they do a great job under the circumstances. Dr Egerton is by far the best Doctor, some of the younger ones can be a bit patronising and arrogant. The older receptionists are also fantastic, some have been there for decades. Long waits are to be expected due to the idiotic directives from NHS for 10 minute appointments. Considering this is a big surgery with lots of patients with complex needs I think they do a great job.

This doctors practice is second to none. The doctors are thorough and always available and willing to help.
I have nothing but praise for all of them.
I’ve no idea why everyone isn’t giving them 5 stars - they should try Elizabeth Avenue practice then compare.

Some of the receptionists can be abrupt at times however generally all staff at the practice are excellent. Waiting times are minimal, Dr Machin in particular is an exceptional, empathic, and diligent GP.

This has been my surgery for 20 years & they provide an excellent service. The GP'S are very caring. Despite what other reviewers have said, you can call at 8 am when they open & get a same day appointment. They also have an in-house service for blood tests which is very useful.

This is an excellent health centre. I always try to see the same GP, she is the best I have ever had and the staff on reception are so helpful and pleasant, they go out of their way to be discreet as well as kind and understanding even when some people are rude and demanding. Thank goodness I found this excellent practice. Happy New Year to you all.
