A cozy Italian restaurant which is clearly family owned and focusing on quality. The squid starter was amazing as it was the strozzapreti. It was only a shame they don’t have a disabled toilet as I was on crutches and couldn’t have gone downstairs.

A special birthday dinner. Really divine food - oh lord, that burrata! - and brilliant service from our waiter. The restaurant was busy and buzzing but still managed to feel intimate and personal. It was wonderful to meet James too: it's a genuinely legendary family restaurant. We are very lucky to live nearby and we'll be back!

I was on a solo trip to London and even though the restaurant was pretty much full, all the staff were very attentive and, friendly, and welcoming. I had the Tagliatelle with wild venison & pork belly ragu, which was delicious and a generous portion!

I then had the cheesecake with a scoop of gelato for dessert, both of which were some of the best I've had.

I can see why the restaurant has been running for 30+ years, a great family run place!

This fantastic place gets booked out for dinner every day! Fantastic dishes and service staff.

We left to the waiter to decide the dishes for us and he delivered the best in the house. I particularly love the squid ink pasta and the bolognese, very well made sauces paired with al dente pasta. The beef steak (can’t remember what it’s called) is so tender and addictive.

They also have homemade ice cream and I tried pistachio, which I thought it was superb. All round an excellent meal!

Delicious tasting authentic Italian food with great service. Really enjoyed a meal here and the menu is superb. Great choice with lots of variety with info showing where the food is sourced. The specials are great the location with outside gazebos really is a nice touch. Would recommend

A very authentic Italian restaurant right by Holland park. The squid was delicious as was the tagliatelle wild venison & pork belly ragu, excellent staff. Reasonably priced for this area, a very good experience. Will definitely visit again.

Old-skool Italian dining at its best. A warm, very (genuine) friendly welcome, delicious food and impeccable service. Favourite dishes included the squid, (amazing) prawns and Strozzapreti. Meal for three including wine £170. Menu well spent for the quality and service. The fact it was packed on a Monday night tells you all you need to know. Will be back!

The food was all very well prepared, fresh & extremely tasty. Good choice, as well as, additional.options for veggies like me.

Whilst I was being treated to lunch, so not paying, I thought cost of the meal was very good too - great value for a delicious treat.

Mind blowing vegetarian fare. Never had Mushrooms this good. Legit 🇮🇹.

I will give this place 7 stars if I can. The lamb, vongole, chicken and tiramisu were superb. The restaurant has a very cosy ambience, and the staff are as amazing as the food. Thank you James, Costas, and Dave for the memorable birthday lunch!

Have going there for 20 years and I can definitely say that I have never been disappointed. Amazing food, fabulous staff. Will keep going for at least the next 20 years.

This is the most delicious Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy. The waiters were friendly, lively, and fun. They have excellent recommendations and were extremely helpful and accommodating. The ambience was wonderful. This place is perfect for everything from a dinner date to a work event.

What an evening. We came there just randomly. It was our first evening on our first Trip to London ever and we searched a cozy place to eat. After sitting down we choose to have classic Spaghetti Bolognese and the Daily Special of Tortellini in an amazing sauce. These guys know how to Cook, they know how to take care of customers. We were offered a great white wine, had a good laugh with the guy serving us (he even practiced his German with us!) and After leaving we have been told „Welcome to the Family“. Went to Portico for lunch with the family. The food was great and pretty reasonably priced considering the quality. The Tagliatelle was just amazing and the service attentive but not overbearing. I will be coming back.

Went for an unexpected quick dessert (tiramisu) and Prosecco. Huge portion, delicious! The staff was extremely nice. We will definitely go back to try their food!

Went for a valentine night meal with my wife ,food ,service and ambience were great friendly staff with authentic Italian food next time I'm in London ill give this lovely restaurant another visit.
