Starling Bank

Wow, I am really surprised to see all the negative feedback here. We have been banking with Starling for 2 years, two personal and one join account and the service and app functionality has been brilliant. We moved from another high street bank as Starling has a much better ethical credentials and we are very happy so far. Having said that we haven't had much interaction with their customer services since everything has been working fine since joining. Oh, and their card (mastercard) works great when we go and visit family in Spain. We just don't bother buying Euros now because the exchange rate we get when paying with their debit card is as good or even better than buying euros from an exchange bureau.

I am not one to frequently leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to support Starling Bank. Since 2020, I've been a loyal customer, and my journey with them has been nothing short of exceptional. Having endured dissatisfaction with other banks in the past, discovering Starling was a revelation. Their customer support is unparalleled, always ready to assist promptly and effectively. Transactions are seamless, contributing to a hassle-free banking experience. Most notably, Starling Bank's assistance in retrieving funds from fraudulent activities has been invaluable. In sum, my time with Starling Bank has been outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and customer-centric banking solution.

I’m surprised to hear all the negative feedback on here. I’ve had a business bank account with Starling for 3 years I never had one problem or transaction fail, but all my transactions have been UK based. My day-to-day joint account is also Starling and my child has a Kite account - not once had a problem. Any interaction with the bank has been fast and positive. Keep up the good work!

I have been with this bank for a number of years and I can honestly say this is the best bank I have ever been with. The customer service is fantastic. I absolutely love this bank and they really do give the best exchanges when abroad. I travel a lot and they never charge for using your card.

My card was lost last night without me realising. Starling notified me straight away when a member of the public found it and they locked it. I spoke with customer services the next day who were so helpful. All sorted before 8am. Delighted. Thank you Starling.

Great bank. Could get any required documents and information within seconds. Well organised and easily accessible user interface. Simple with no problems during overseas use. Customer service is onpoint. Thank you Starling.

I love using it abroad. You pay no fees to pay with your card. Most ATM machines will charge a local fee to withdraw money. So far I have used it in Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Spain.

In Spain, these banks will not charge you to withdraw money with your starling card: Unicaja and Kutxabank

This has the best customer service, I have ever dealt with.
I have had a reason to contact them on 3 occasions now. Each time, I have been impressed with the people I spoke to.
They were all friendly, polite and patient. Even when I didn't understand something, They stayed calm and looked for another way to help. Each of them did this, until the issue was resolved and I was satisfied with the help I had received.
Seriously, you couldn't ask for better service.

I have been with Starling Bank for a number of years. I have been in touch online with their customer service and found them very friendly and approachable. I like how the app shows transactions that are due a day ahead.

I've used Starling for a few years now as my second bank, for when I travel to Europe. They are superb, slick and secure with countless features when using their app. I have a £ account and linked €Euro account. Moving Sterling to the Euro account is great value and extremely convenient and usage abroad is reliable. I recently had my wallet stolen in Paris and was able to lock my card via the app; they also auto blocked attempted transactions. Called them and received fantastic service and advice - they assigned a new card number to my app and I was then able to pay via Google Wallet. A life saver. New card arrived less than 2 working days later. Brilliant.

My friend found a debit card and phone. From 22/1/24 on your bank debit card. The owner did not call back and therefore could not return it. If you see my message and would like to mediate to return the phone and debit card please contact me. I am in Bankok, Thailand.

I love this bank... no wonder why they are UKs number one app bank. I’ve never had any bad experience from them. It does exactly what it’s supposed to, with no delays in the app notifications. They even have a money saving scheme within the app, and also an over draft service which is all controlled from the app. Their rivals are no competition!

Starling were so fantastic during lockdown when we had no cash and had to make payments to friends and family.
Every time I telephone over a query, I have fantastic service and the staff are extremely helpful. Thank you so much.

Nt all internet banks are the same!

Decent bank, you can open euro account too, I found customer service to be prompt, efficient and friendly. Easy , user friendly app, all in all very satisfied with this bank , highly recommended to anyone….

I have been conducting the majority of my transactions with this bank since 2019. It's so convenient, customer service is excellent. I've faced various issues like losing my bank card in another country, updating address and phone number, etc and Starling has always been quick to respond and solve any issues. Compared to other banks, they are also quick with producing statements tailored to the dates you need, and you can instantly save certified copies of these and download account ownership documents from the app too. I use the saving spaces and they are quite helpful to keep track of where you spend your money, the app is quite user friendly. Plus it doesn't hurt that the card looks so nice!

I have banked with Starling Bank for nearly 5 years now and I have to say that it has been one of the best financial experiences ever. The App over that time has never failed and customer services are one of the best in the industry. I have banked with almost all the UK banks over my 40 year working life and for the most occasions banking was only ever a necessity rather than a pleasure. The App has come a long way in the time I have been with Starling and I truly cannot imagine I will ever need to bank elsewhere. I hope that they will launch a credit card at some point in the future but even without a Starling branded credit card I will remain loyal to this bank well into the future.

This bank is absolutely amazing because they are the first generation of digital bank that has opened ways for others like Monzo, e money institutions like Revolut and many more bank and e money institutions that are here today. The bank allows me to deposit at post office, withdraw at post office, open other accounts like Euro account, business account, multi currency business account, connected card, savings spaces, kite account and teen account. The staff are knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, attentive, respectful, supportive, responsive, sociable, understanding, well behaved, well mannered, professional, honest and well organised. The best thing about this bank you get to use abroad at the mid market rate rather than paying hidden when I use regular high street bank like Santander or Halifax. Apply for account and get this card to use before it is too late. Although I never been to the building but I am guessing it is clean, tidy, modern, vibrant, big, huge, spacious, colourful, secure and safe which is better because you don’t want anyone breaking in the building. The saving rates are good as well.

Very happy to use Starling bank as my business main bank account. It was very easy to open online, had to submit documents through out the app. The whole process was quick. Very happy with day to day use of the bank, easy transfers, payments, communication. No hidden fees. Highly recommended as a business bank. I have been using them for 3 years now.
