The place was lovely. Staff were very helpful and kind. Food was delicious. We had a table for 2:30 hours. During that time we enjoyed. Price wise it was not too bad but still it’s bit expensive. We had a lovely time there.

The table had a nice outdoor view.
The staff were very helpful and we were served quickly as it was the morning and quite empty.
Ordered poached egg and a green smoothie which felt a bit overpriced but tasted good.

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve had! A lovely spot with a really great atmosphere. Went there with 3 other friends and we’ve really enjoyed our late lunch.

The only problem I have is while at the bar downstairs, a waiter took away my glass without asking, while I still had a drink in there. Found it extremely rude and inconsiderate. Had a great experience with other employees so hoping it was just an unfortunate event, would be good to educate staff on this though.

Came here for breakfast and the food was delicious. I got the fried chicken Benedict and my mum got the scrambled egg with salmon. Staff were a bit slow with service despite it not being very busy and it was also freezing inside- I had to wear my big coat all brekkie which isn’t the nicest.
Overall I would recommend coming here as the food is great and so is the location.

Had some drinks here - great atmosphere inside, love the look of the place lots of glass and brassy colours. Staff were really friendly and gave us good advice re the wine list, also had a delicious hot toddy.

We were welcomed by Milot who gave us the best table. Assad, our waiter, was absolutely fantastic! Great drinks, great food, great service - we had an amazing time and we will come back for sure

Nice position by the Regents Canal. Not far from the main Coal Drops Yard.
Service: disinterested.
Wine: Rose, very nice.
Pricing: Way too expensive to make the visit enjoyable.

Great setting over looking the canal or the water features in Granary Square.. The pea and broad bean risotto was fabulous. You really need to book in advance. Will definitely go again

The menu reflected that of classic English pub food, but elevated. The stunning views added to the overall very enjoyable experience. I would say that it is this that you are paying for since although the food is nice, nothing particularly irresistible. Would recommend for anyone who wants a classic King’s Cross view and London lunch.

We celebrated a 29th here and it was glorious. Amazing food and staff that looked after all of us with drinks food and all other requests. The croquettes were a little bland but the fish and chips were amazing, as was the tart. I’d recommend this place massively as somewhere to have a good meal in kings x but also for big events. I’d come back.

We use to go at The Lighterman for a drink or dinner sometimes, this time we had a very nice lunch on the terrace, we tried the two salads on the menu (and they were very good) and we drank two beers and two spritz. Fair prices. The staff is really nice and polite. The view on Kings Cross, Granary Square and the canal is beautiful. We loved the atmosphere. The choice of dishes is varied, so even though I know it might be complicated, just a small suggestion: add more variety of salads for the summer menu. Either way we had a great time as always and it deserves 5 stars. Highly Recommended!

Classic spot for drinks with views of the Regents Canal and King’s Cross. My cousins and I had drinks here to celebrate my cousin’s achievement in finishing his law degree. Service was quick in the lower ground. Lots of cocktail choices if you feel more adventurous than having your usual lagers.

Fresh, quality food and excellent service. I had the mozzarella flatbread and fried chicken appetiser that was super tasty. Atmosphere was also ambient as it was overlooking the canal and the cocktails were uniquely delicious as well.

I found this an amazing spot in front of the canal.

Good place to DRINK some beer and chill.

Aparently I thought food wouldn't be good but it was really nice with good price too.

I recommend tunna tartar and French fries with truffle and parmesano.

The atmosphere is airy and relaxing. About 5 mins walk from King's Cross station. The waiter took about 5mins to attend to us after we were seated but that was OK seeing the restaurant was a little pack. Once they tool our order drinks came within good time.

I had fish and chips which was one of the best I have had. Skin on chips and the fish was of high quality perfectly prepared! You couldn't tell you were eating fried food because none of it was not oily.

Canal side views in the sun - what more can you ask for!
Food - great selection whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Drink - really good wine & cocktail menu
Only complaint - if you’re indoors the glass holds all the sound in…so can be difficult to hear each other! So sit outside if the weather’s nice…

For a lively pint with mates or family, the Lighterman at the new Granary Square development is a great option. The restaurant is spread over 2 floors and has a big terrace. Which is perfect for these times. There is plenty of heating on the terrace too. The food is nice and the portions are pretty good too. Some good choices for vegans as well. They have a good selection of ales and wines. Prices are pretty good. Service was fantastic. We would go again for sure.

I went with a couple of friends to enjoy our get together. The waiter named Virendra was excellent. He made our evening good, his service and etiquettes were impeccable.Food was good

Good selection of pub food. The bar downstairs is a great spot for a casual drink beforehand (the outside area along the canal I would imagine would be great in the summer months). The restaurant area is spread across the ground and first floors and is a great place for a catch up with friends.
