Excellent bakery, the cakes always hit their mark. I particularly like them since their icing isn’t sickly sweet like others you might find. Okay selection of vegan cakes.

You must try the red velvet cupcake here. I always take visitors from overseas here, and I even took one to Amsterdam for a friend's wedding because she likes them!

The icing is perfect and not too sweet. The cupcakes also have just the right amount of sugar.

Over the years, I've had birthday cakes from here, but actually I'd rather just have the cupcakes. 🤣

I was excited they started making red velvet soft serve and finally managed to find the time to try it. The verdict - they really should include the icing in it. It was red velvet cake with soft serve on top. There's a few small tables in front of the store. Most people don't seem to stay long as there's not much around. The white table was totally stained red from our drips. Be careful if you're wearing anything white.

The cupcakes are a bit pricey these days, but for London, they are standard prices. I'd still treat myself if I was in the area. I wish they opened later on Sunday. 4pm is a bit early and I've had so many occasions when I'm in the area and disappointed that I can't get a cupcake. I've not found anywhere else close by for ice-cream, so it is a great option when the weather becomes hot again.

I'm on the hummingbird mailing list and they always have lots of cool ideas for cupcakes and cakes for Halloween, thanksgiving and other occasions. I love their creativity.

This store is the only one in the East, so in some ways thankfully it's not so close that I'm eating it all the time, maybe every blue moon, which is much better for my waist. 😝

I've noticed they're on Deliveroo so that's great if you were having a party and didn't have time, but needed a cake or fancy dessert. The range is quite limited though.

I also think they should have a phone number so they can be contacted.

I heard the Soho one is reopening and I'm very pleased about that. 🥳

The vibe of this place is amazing . Food was delicious. Service was so good as well . Staff was patient & polite they welcomed me is such a nice way especially enissa & laiba highly recommended will be back soon

The service was great. They were super accommodating to my last minute request and even added to it. It was a bit expensive. The cake was moist and not gnawingly sweet.

I was so happy that the pride cupcakes had their signature red velvet sponge as I was dying to try it for a long time! I can confirm the cupcakes were super soft and the frosting was just melting in the mouth! 🤤

Had a warm welcome when I came to hummingbird (as usual). Staff here are really friendly and are always happy yo help. I brought a slice of carrot cake and mile high. Definitely come back again.

Best red velvet cakes/cupcakes in London! Plus the red velvet ice cream is such a creative thing - and soooo tasty! I always have to fight my will to go there every day 😅

I bought a vegan rainbow layered cake for my mum's 80th birthday. She thought it looked amazing and it tasted as good as it looked! Thank you Hummingbird! The cake was definitely a big WOW factor amongst her family.

One of my fave bakeries in London! They do the best red velvet cupcakes and I absolutely love the black bottom cupcakes too. Great place if you're looking for a box of cupcakes or whole cakes for celebrations and like red velvet or colourful cakes.

I used to go there every other day as it was just there right beneath my apartment. Coffee was good also the rainbow cake.
