Wonderful experience. Stopped in for coffee and some pastry while shopping. The cake was excellent, as was the coffee and server

Finally I found black forest cake (schwarzwälder torte) in Germany. I waited so long for this moment :) cake is delicious I recommend this place.

You are spoiled for choices here as every dessert in this place is droolworthy. Outdoor dining in September was perfect and service was good (even though not all staff speak English). Highly recommend the apple pie with almonds on top.

I just wish the toilets were free (esp for the prices you pay, it feels unfair). They did let me change my baby's diaper without paying, which was kind.

It was a great surprise. The attendant was very kind and she even tried to help us choosing our breakfast even though we don't speak german. The pie cream was light and the krapfen was delicious.

A lovely place for a stop. Coffee, sweets or a meal. Service is nice too.

Exactly the type of classic German konditorei I was hoping to find. They appear to be few and far between in Cologne! Waitresses in black with little aprons, delicious array of cakes and pastries and good coffee. They also do light snacks and sell beer and wine but I was desperate for café und kūchen and a slice of the delicious and seasonal plum cake with whipped cream plus a cup of unfancy coffee was just the ticket.
Be aware that German cakes are not so sickly sweet as most of their British counterparts.

Great coffee shop/cafe close to the main shopping street. Old school but friendly table service, great coffee and lovely selection of freshly baked gateaus and pastries. A perfect spot for a relaxed break from shopping.

Nice place in the center of Köln. The service was great; efficient and kind. Awesome cakes (we tried the chocolate mousse cake and was one of the best cakes I've ever tasted!!!! =

Spectacular views to the world-famous cathedral of Cologne as well as the spectacular Hohenzollern railway bridge. Sufficient space and safe viewing platform. Reachable also for wheel-chairs and people with prams/little children.

Each time, I go to Koeln, Konditorei Eigel is a must never to be missed.

There is a lovely covered courtyard at the back of the cafe which has a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely place excellent variety of sweets and dishes.

very good quality cake, good atmosphere and i loved that all employees are 50+, makes you feel like eaten grandmom's cake.
