It is a well designed museum with a lot happening there.
As many others recommended, buy your ticket well in advance and if you're interested in a tour (I highly recommend one) buy it way way in advance.
I booked the short course (30 min) that gave an overview of different stages of production with tasting (Yes! we tried a bean!). It was worth the extra 2.5 EUR for sure and was not too long.
There's a green house with chocolate and banana trees that have fruits!
I recommend going there if you're in Köln. Definitely one of the best things to do there.

We came in only for the store. The main lobby was very busy with people waiting for coat check and to go into the museum. The store was large with a lot of selection. The prices are on par with other tourist traps. Things are shiny and colorful. Great atmosphere and quick service.

Definitely worth to visit when you’re in Cologne. The museum is full of story and supply chain science of our daily chocolates! 🍫 buy ticket online and skip the waiting lines and come as early as possible, game changer!

Visiting this museum was one of the best decisions I made when I was in Cologne, Germany.

During the tour there are different exhibitions that explain everything from the origin of chocolate, to the way it is processed and obtained, as well as its commercial distribution.

The tour is very entertaining, and the best thing is that they give free chocolate samples. Although the price could be considered somewhat high, I think it is totally worth it.

It was one of my super nice experiences. The museum gives us all the details of the chocolate 🍫, the history of the owner, and where the farms of the company are.
You can bay also pay one Euro to planting one coco tree 🌳

I always wanted to visit this place, took a while but finally made it. Really enjoyed my day at the Lindt Chocolate Museum, the morning vibe was perfect – not too crowded. The entry fee was reasonable, only 14 euros, and delving into the history of chocolate while sampling various treats was a sweet deal, für all it’s Lindt chocolate, come on! If you're a chocolate lover looking for an experience to bring you a lot of knowledge combined with a side of cocoa wisdom, this spot is a win-win. Highly recommend, even with kids!

Such a pleasant and interesting experience, great for kids and adults too. You get to see how chocolate is made and get to know a bit of history and statistics, sample a bit of chocolate too.

Bought our tickets online the day of our visit, thoroughly enjoyed this museum! Really interesting walk through that explains the origin of chocolate and how it’s made. Very educational and bonus you get to enjoy freshly made chocolate at the end. Also bought some chocolate from the gift shop which is all very delicious. We also took a rest at the attached cafe, where we enjoyed our drinks and chocolate cake. Really enjoyed our visit here!

A must do experience. Well worth the entrance fee. Really fascinating seeing chocolates made over a period of history and how brands have evolved. Seeing the Lindt chocolatiers in action and then seeing the machines make the slabs and package etc is so interesting. The plus is you can press certain buttons and get chocolate samples. Fun for adults and children!

The Lindt Museum in Cologne is a captivating journey through the rich history of chocolate farming, brilliantly showcasing how this delectable treat became an integral part of our culture. The museum’s immersive exhibits beautifully unravel the evolution of chocolate cultivation, offering a delightful insight into the origins of our favorite sweet indulgence. Moreover, Lindt’s unique culinary skills take center stage, turning the visit into a sensory delight that goes beyond mere history lessons. The on-site restaurant and cafe elevate the experience, serving as a perfect finale to indulge in the artistry of chocolate while savoring delectable treats. A truly enriching and delicious adventure!

Absolutely recommended for chocolate lovers! The ticket was cheap, but the exhibition was abundant. Also there was sdudio and factroy to attend and visit, and of course a store.
You can also get free cookies with chocolate here.

It's a fun place to learn about some of the history of chocolate but the main attraction to me is the working production line that you get to walk through. Felt authentic, educational and fun.

Excellent museum to spend an hour or so. Very interesting and a few freebies! We arrived at 11.30am and wasn't too busy. Easy to buy advanced tickets just before arrival.

Booked this on a whim as we were getting towards the end of our trip and getting bored - we were amazed! Got plenty of freebies and learnt a lot! Everything had both German and English language too which I was shocked at!

We skipped the queue to get in as we had booked online via GetYourGuide.

We created our own chocolate bar and then finished the day off with an absolutely stunning hot chocolate and cake in the cafe in the foyer at the end, which was very reasonably priced! We paid either just under or just over €20 for 2 hot chocolates, a cake and a waffle! Would 100% recommend coming here if you’re in Cologne.

The famous Lindt chocolate and a museum dedicated to that. For someone like me who is crazy about chocolate, this place is nothing less than heaven. You can know a lot about the world chocolate industry, how chocolate is produced and you can order your personalised chocolate flavour. If that doesn't make your day, nothing will. 😅

This is an amazing place to be. Although there was a huge crowd both in and outside the museum you’ll love it there. So detailed illustration of how chocolate is made. You’ll also get small gifts both when going in, inside and when going outside. It’s a lovely experience

It was a very nice experience especially because weather was very depressing that day so inside was quite refreshing and cozy with all the chocolate smell 🙂 we visited the museum with our two years old son and he enjoyed it so much therefore I can suggest the museum for families with kids. The interactive parts and tasting opportunities were quite interesting and adequate.
