Fassbender

Visited on a cold Monday morning in January 2024. It was very quiet and I was promptly served in a friendly and courteous manner. I would definitely recommend the Klassic breakfast for 1 (if solo) with a cappuccino. Lovely and very reasonable price.

This little Cafe is just fantastic. The food is soo God with cheesecakes, strudel cakes and so many goodies to eat with your coffee or hot chocolate. The beautiful irish lass speaks perfect english and so wonderful. You gotta go here you just have to.

My best breakfast experience in Köln! The prices are too good, the food is good, thw personnel are good, the place is a must see from the old times.

Order the vanilla krapfen (not the berliner) and enjoy the cream dripping down your throat. Company that with probably the cheapest coffee (which is good enough of course) and than add the Fassbender's Klassik breakfast for 1 person only and enjoy it with your company because it's more than enough!

We went to Cologne for the first time and we had the best time at Fassbender Cafe. Anika was our waitress. She was super sweet and helpful. We did not speak German, but her English was fantastic and she helped us to select the perfect desserts. She also helped to find a nut free dessert for my husband that has an allergy to nuts.

I would highly recommend going here for a slice a cake and to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere inside or outside.

Great cafe for a pit stop with equally good service staff. Staff helped us charge our mobile phones using our own charger. Coffee and tea were good too, as well as their spread of cakes.

I went to Cologne as I found flight tickets for £55 return and it was a bargain! The downside of it was it was there and back in under 20 hours so packed our running shoes. I went here with my friend after a trek through the city. The main room was circular which was ever so amazing to see. I ordered a german cheesecake and a coffee and walnut cake. Both delicious. The soft drinks came in 200ml sizes so they were big but nice nonetheless. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

A stunning, classy cafe with a stellar menu and the quality of food to match. Everything here from the food and staff went above and beyond my expectations. Staff all spoke brilliant English, making my stay here easy, but were also all incredibly helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend the HUGE breakfast platter for two, although, it's a vast amount of food and not for the feint hearted. Hope to visit again any time I'm in Cologne.

Come here for the relaxing, almost grand, ambience, or for the fine pâtisserie and coffee. Either way, it's perfect.

We didn’t eat we just had a very nice ice coffee on a hot day and it was refreshing. The staff was very friendly.

Great place to enjoy your brunch! The service is really nice and the food has great quality and taste! I will recommend it! Also it's pretty close to the Dom. The cakes just look lovely and they have quite a lot variety on food.

This local is just lovely! All the decoration is quite nice and in Christmas is even more prettier. Pastries look amazing.

A really beautiful, typically German traditional café. The choice of cakes is overwhelming; I'd suggest trying them all (but not on the same day!) Excellent service. A treasure.

Here is the wonderful place to drink coffee or eat cake in Cologne. The atmosphere is really good, vintage and elegant. The staff is very friendly, kind and hospitality. They have delicious cake and coffee. They also pay attention the hygiene. Everywhere of this place is so clean. I really liked this place. I adice here and I will visit again.
