Honour Avenue

Great place to see the Autumn leaves closer to Melbourne. Best time to visit is during the month of April , by the start of May it will start falling and colours might fade as well. It will be pretty crowded during weekends so plan your trip in advance , lot of parking and pop-up coffee shops will be there around the area. You won’t be drive through the avenue during 9.00AM-5.00PM. Make sure you visit the place the before the daylight goes..it looks nice during the sunset as well…you can park the car bit far and walk down the beautiful avenue.

Lovely place to enjoy stunning autumn leaves 🍁. Make sure to pick a sunny day for that perfect moment. Lots of people but there is always a spot to take those selfies moments. Prepare your own lunch as cafe and restaurant nearby are not able to accommodate influx of visitors during peak season.

I think this week is the final time to visit this area! I took those photos about two weeks ago. Pretty good place to take photos, and there are some gardens which are not far from here. If you come here please prepare more time to park your cars, and don’t come too late cuz the sun light will not enough after 4pm.

Visiting the Honor Avenue during the first weekend of April was an absolute delight! The autumn scenery was breathtaking, with vibrant hues painting the landscape, creating a picturesque setting. Walking down the avenue felt like strolling through a painting, plus, the free parking made it hassle-free to enjoy the beauty of this picturesque spot. It's the perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers alike.

It was short and nice visit to Honor avenue at Macedon to see vibrant color of autumn leaves. I would suggest people to go around mid April to enjoy stunning autumn leaves.

I have been to Honour Avenue at Mecedon every autumn for the last 4 years, the colours of the pin oak leaves always enchanted me ... it's just beautiful, if you like the "colours of autumn". There are many places around Melbourne with "colours of autumn", but Honour Avenue is definitely top on my list. I like to be there as early as I can, and normally I went on a weekday if possible, to avoid the crowd. PLEASE do note that there's NO STOPPING along Honour Avenue from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week.

A must visit place in autumn. Beautiful acorn leaves on both sides of the street, recommend to drive through the street and park on one of the side street.

It was in early April 2024. We went there on a cloudy weekend. Luckily avoid the crowds. I like the trees with three colour views. Love this place, so romantic! The new arrangement of road closed was safe & friendly to tourists. Highly recommended this place.

Lovely place to experience autumn leaves. The road was closed to cars on Anzac day so people parked cars along the side of the road and were walking around along the street safely.

We were here on Sunday 23rd Apr 2023 to catch the autumn foliage and it was at full bloom. We had an amazing time here and were completely mesmerized by the blend of red, orange and yellow colors! It was definitely a busy day with a lot of people; the road was closed so people could enjoy the foliage safely.

We parked the car off Bent Street and really enjoyed the foliage along the way to Honour Avenues.

This is my 5th autumn foliage visit here and this was the best one I had seen too! Highly recommended

It’s a beautiful place if you are looking for autumn vibes. This year we went and there were too many people. I think that was because it was a weekend. Would love to go back to visit the gardens. I advise to go there maybe on weekdays and be early so you can enjoy the gardens as well.

Very beautiful and well maintained road that is perfect for walks and picnics, especially in Autumn when the leaves start turning red.

A beautiful place to see the autumn leaves in Victoria. And roaming around Macedon ranges.

This place gets so beautiful during the autumn season. And then there are other beautiful parks around you can visit and have a picnic. Much recommended to visit during autumn. You'll love the scenery.

One of the best places for fall when you can see the nature turn on the beautiful colours it withholds within.
A 45-60 mins drive from the city to reach the Honour Avenue where you can click the best pictures, definitely Insta-worth 😅
Piece of advice, start early and reach early.. we reached around 9:15-20ish and we’re able to get some good pictures but by 9:45-10am the place was crowded like H&M at Bourke Street.. lots and lots of people to enjoy the nature.

Great place for photography but be aware; I was there in Autumn and there were a lot of people. So getting a shot without anyone in there could be a problem.
I would advise parking at the end of the Honour Avenue, the is a reserve there. Please don't park on the street with people trying to take photos as someone did to me..
Also Warning ⚠ this is an actual street used by locals and others, please please be careful. So often seen people standing in the middle of the road to take a photo, while the cars are coming. 🙅‍♂The last thing we want is for council to close this off because people are putting themselves in danger.

Beautiful place to visit during autumn. Colours are really nice. Parking can be a challenge on weekends (around April end)
