Mount Macedon Hotel

Went in with the family for our first dinner in Mount Macedon. Probably the best food we have had eating out in a very long time. We got two pizzas and a fish and chips and every bite was amazing. The servers were fantastic and there was even Easter eggs hidden around for my toddler to enjoy.

Great dinner at the Macedon Hotel. New Chef has taken honest pub fare to a whole new level. All the classics executed superbly and the service from the friendly staff is exemplary.

Ben is the new chef and makes excellent pizza, I had the pepperoni which has red onion, super tasty.
I am a really fussy eater often disappointed with dining out.
Will be back here as of now 🙏🏻

Just had a fabulous lunch. A traditional style local pub, food was great and staff were magnificent/attentive and a lot of fun to deal with. As a cold day the open fire was great and local wine selection was good. We have been coming here for years, Mt Macedon is fabulous on a winters day and we enjoy it most years. Keep up the great work.

Had a great lunch with a group called Chirpyplus today. Food was great, staff were great and just loved the old pub atmosphere when it in the bar. The room we had was great but the fire wasn't going because the chimney needed cleaning. Lol it did give us privacy for 12 of us there. But next time, I'll make sure we are out in the bar area as it seemed to have much more atmosphere to it. 😊

Lovely open fire in the bar area. Tables and chairs out the front (no smoking). Very large beer garden and smoking area out the back. Bar staff were very knowledgeable and there is a wide selection of local and not so local craft beers and ciders.

A beautiful Father’s Day lunch today! Gorgeous beer, lovely champagne and the meals and service were amazing! We had chicken schnitzel, crispy skin salmon, arancini, pizza and everything was just gorgeous. Sunshine was streaming through the window and we went for a walk in the gardens afterwards and patted the resident donkey. Wonderful in every single way!

This is a pub in the main street of mt macedon. Great location and experience with great service

Great place for food. Staff were super friendly and doing an amazing job, food was tasty and only a short wait. Good portion sizes as well, plates were full.

We went as a car club the place was fantastic and the atmosphere was even better. It was busy and ordering took a long time but the food was worth the wait and overall it was an awesome experience I highly recommend the Mount Macedon hotel.

Love the vibe of this place. Good beers and wines. Nice spot on the mount. My only one criticism is the price of whisky. Each shot going for 25-30% of the bottle's value seems a liiiitttle steep.

We had pizza and chicken Parma. Lunch was great, especially the mulled wine.

Awesome country pub with beautiful lush surrounds, worth the drive! Impeccable service from start to finish, Dean made us feel so welcome and accomodated us for vegan requirements.. Food was delicious and cooked perfectly, highly reccomend the wild mushroom pizza. Great selection of drinks too! The venue has retained it's old world charm which created a lovely atmosphere and we enjoyed seeing the gorgeous art work in every room! Will definitely visit again 😊

This place is awesome!! The meal was top-notch, the staff were fantastic even under pressure and the setting is amazing. You HAVE to give this pub a try! You won't regret it! We will definitely be back.

On our way to Hanging Rock for Nick Cave's gig tonight, so we thought to stop over at the Mt Macedon Hotel.When we arrived the kitchen just closed but the bar tender spoke to the chef who end up cooking a tasty chicken parma for the two of us. One of the best places to have an awesome pub meal. Just been there with the Holden and LS OWNERS Club cruise.

Great meal, large servings, lovely surroundings. Beer garden under the canopy of the huge oak tree is certainly somewhere to spend a few hours with friends enjoying a cold beverage or two.
