Mount Macedon Trading Post, General Store, Cafe & Post Office

Neat little cafe serving great baked goods and coffee. We had coffee, pastries and milkshakes, all of which were delivered quickly and tasted amazing. The rates were decently priced for the food, and they also had some great takeaway options in their fridge. We took away the Italian Minestrone soup which made for a spectacular dinner after our travel back home from Mount Macedon. Please don't miss to visit this cafe when you're in Mt Macedon.

Complete local country side shop feeling with tasty coffee, tho hot chocolate could have been better.
Very nice feeling inside the shop, a feel of country side. It has a good food book collection ranging from European to Aussie food and Aboriginal special.
Has a good collection of various tea coffee infusion.

Cosy ambience with ample seating. Tea was flavourful and scones delicious. The vanilla slice was also a hit - flaky and light, creamy and not too sweet. A good place to stop for afternoon tea when you're visiting Mt Macedon!

Best place to eat in the area. The Rueben, pork roll and Thai curry are very good. All pies and sausage rolls are yum. They also has amazing vanilla slice! Highly recommend

An absolute Macedon treasure👌 I ordered the Smashed avocado toast with grilled tomato and feta cheese. It was super delicious, fresh and all the flavours blended well together.
Staff were a little serious but quick and efficient!

What a lovely place with excellent family service. Brings back the old feel of being in a small town Trading Post. The coffee was freshly brewed and do come on a weekend when they bake their delicious cinnamon rolls.

So glad that we stopped by into this little shop. We got some beautiful warm and tasty pies and a glass of wine. The staff was so friendly within cozy atmosphere. You could find everything what a local cafe should always offer, comfortable and warm food, great sweet nibbles, some local wine, local products, great coffee and beautiful sense of place.

This place indeed has the best pie in town. Lamb and rosemary pie it not to be missed. They also serve good quality regional wine that goes well with food. Staff is very friendly and courteous.

Been to this cafe several times and always happy. Good quality food and very friendly staff. Today I went for hiking and didn’t expect cold weather. Anna kindly lend me a coat. What a surprise! I left the coat on the chair after finish hiking around 6pm. Much appreciated!

Came here this morning for breakfast, we didn’t need to book and were seated right away. Generous servings and delicious meals. They also have lots of sweets and takeaway baked goods. Would definitely recommend to check this place out for breakfast or lunch if you are visiting the Macedon Ranges.

Cute little place to crawl into! They have the best pies and sausage rolls that I’ve had. Always stop in on my way to mt Macedon. Highly recommend the beef pie! Coffees are also good!!

Great food, excellent friendly service and comfortable vibe. Although I was served by the young ones working there - bright and cheery! The ambience is low key and interesting. Coffee scrolls to die for. I had second breakfast (ham cheese croissant - very good, and coffee) here before visiting Forest Glade gardens. Lots of good things to do around this area.

Warm and cozy cabin vibes, great spot for a quick bite! Nice selection of pies, quiches, as well as other hot food and cakes.

Very charming old world general store in the side of a very picturesque road. Yummy sandwiches / rolls for lunch and carrot cake & brownies amazing.

The best bacon, egg and tomato relish I have had before, the coffees are amazing and the price is great for the small amount of things we bought and I am definitely coming back here with my partner next time we are in town.

Great food and great service. The sausage rolls and pies were the best we have ever had.

The quality of coffee is impressive. I particularly enjoy the sausage roll. Love the ambience.
