The Macedon Lounge( Now trading as FORTY STREET BAR AND GRILL)

I had the pleasure of visiting during the autumn festival and my experience was fantastic. The service was truly exceptional, and while I didn't catch the name of the receptionist, she was incredibly responsive and friendly. As for the food, we ordered the chicken parma and fish & chips, and both were delicious. The portions were also quite generous, which was especially appreciated given the chilly mountain weather.

If you're planning to visit during the autumn or winter months, I would highly recommend making a reservation, as the popularity of the maple views can make it quite busy during lunchtime. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Quick service. Although some items were not available, they politely informed us. Food was great. I will also suggest to serve chips on one side rather than placing the steak on top of it. However, that’s not a major issue.

That’s our dinner here is macedon, it’s so good. It’s very clean and nice service. It’s kind of pity that some items i like to try are not available that night. But what we have order are really yummy, such as the gnocchi, steak with mushrooms sauce, and the entree.( i can’t recall what’s that call).
Server was really sweet and friendly.

We visited 📍Macedon Ranges to get the last glimpse of Autumn and just loved every bit of it.

Stopped at #themacedonlounge for lunch and it made our visit even better.
We started with dome lunch cocktails.. bcoz why not!

Followed by :

- Chicken parma
- chicken & mushroom crepe
- biscoff cake

Everything was well presented and was delicious 🤤

We had a wonderful lunch here.Excellent food,good portions, comparatively cheaper (desserts for 10$).The incredible service from humans and robot. Beautiful indoors and outdoors.Better to book ahead.

We came here for a late lunch and boy were we surprised. From the lovely staff to the cool robot waiter, the food, the environment and everything else was just spot on! From now on if I'm in Macedon I'm definitely heading there for a bite. Thanks for an amazing experience team 😇

This restaurant @macedonLounge is nice and cosy, located in a quiet corner in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. I've never been here before as it's not in the main street, but boy am I glad I found them!!
So thankful for the invite, i may not have discovered this gem otherwise. It's lovely, clean and spacious inside. We were greeted by welcoming staff and their robot server (they are popular with kids nowadays). The vibe here is very relaxing, you can either dine indoor or their big courtyard outside.

@themacedonlounge, Mt Macedon. The holidays are perfect for road trips! 🚘 We checked out this hidden gem in the North West.

The service was amazing and the food quality explains why it was extremely busy that day!! Highly recommend this spot for a bite next time you’re heading to the Macedon Ranges 😻🏔✨💫

We had lunch on a true Macedon winters day.... Cold and wet, but beautiful. Our meal was most enjoyable and the quality and quantity were above average.

If you're looking for a wonderdul day trip this school holidays, then this is the spot to stop and grab a bite to eat 😋 and then visit the beautiful surrounds 🖤.

Absolutely delicious cheesey garlic bread, very tasy wedges to kick things off. Followed by mouth watering barramundi in lemon butter and potato jacket, super tender calamari with chippies and salad. Washed down with some milkshakes for the kiddies and lemon lime bitters for the adults.

Was lovely to meet the new manager Hao who said they have some exciting plans for the place. Thanks Hao and team for a lovely lunch 😍.

Definitely will be back again to try the sticky date pudding 🍮 😬.

The environment is spacious and comfortable. In addition to the front yard and the backyard outside the restaurant, the robot delivers meals. The servings are large, the taste is good, and the coffee is delicious.

Ordered Chicken mushroom crepe and gnocchi rusticate. Loved it. If I can given 6 stars, would definitely do.
Expect us again soon!

Decent service, served in good time, yummy food, good value…Enjoyed my Mimosa with my Cajun Chicken (gluten free option - no chips)!

I don't know if it's partly because we came here after a tiring walk, but the food tasted absolutely fantastic. We had pan-fried gnocchi and a chicken and mushroom crepe. Good serves, full of flavour, so good! Lovely interior design and comfy seating also.

We had the pleasure of dining here today.Even though breakfast menu had finished l felt like pancakes and wasn't an issue for filling my order no stress.
Highly recommend this place wonderful service and clean and friendly environment. Ps milkshakes were amazing as well.

Incredibly accommodating staff. When I made our booking, I mentioned that our family will be bringing their pet and that we'd like to be sat outside. It so happened that weather isn't great and it starting raining. Staff gave us a call to let us know and had already organise an inside table for us close to the sliding doors so we could keep an eye on the dog. They were SO helpful. Service was quick too (we came during the autumn festival and it was SO BUSY!). Wonderful people. Superb customer service! Thank you for taking care of us. :)

Good proximity to the train station, and a good rest after finishing the Macedon walking trail loop

Amazing ambience and lovely staff! Food couldn’t have been more perfect. Such a shame we’re in Macedon just for the night or would have loved to come here again tomorrow. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Dropped by for lunch here after a hike at Mt Macedon. Wasn’t too busy when we arrived and the owner/staff were super friendly.

Our group got the steak sandwich, gnocchi and fettuccine and the portion sizes were super tasty, filling, and absolute value for money. Will definitely swing by again next time I’m in the area 🙂
