Approximately 8 meters high, this Survey Cairn is one of three examples in Victoria of mortared stone geodetic stone triangulation stations, the others being located in Mount Alexander and Warby North.

Worth a brief stop when walking around Mount Macedon and this is on one of the circular loops not far from the carpark. It's very near the communications tower located behind it.
