What a pretty lol hidden spot that I never knew was on Mt Macedon. So glad we made the time to go check it out! The path was a little muddy but ok.

Gorgeous. No big tables but some Benches to sit on. Walk has a steep bit but it's not too bad.

One of the best places for bush walks in Victoria and you can also enjoy the Lake view during your nature walk.
This place is also known for its unique and rare fungi ecosystem.

The nature walk leads you through many trees, feels like you're already deep in the forest already. The loop around the lake takes about 15 minutes so it's a short walk. Saw some small fish in the lake.
The road to Sanatorium Lake is gravel but it's manageable by all cars.

Pleasant, easy 20-minute stroll start to finish. Tranquil lake in the middle. Lots of mushrooms and lots of moss from the lake. Many fallen and broken trees, feels almost like Alice in Wonderland. Perhaps after a few of those shrooms.
