Camels Hump Carpark

This carpark is the start of a short walk to the Camels Hump viewing platform. The summit is a very short and easy walk from the car park. Only 1.2km return. Around 15-20 mins return. Suitable for all ages. Lots of people take their dogs here too.
Also have rock climbing section in the left hand side before the summit viewing platform.
A great place for sunrise or sunset. And you can even do star glazing at night too. Very mesmerizing.
For me, always a truly special and memorable place.

Definitely go on a clear day. Short but slightly challenging due to the slope but not too difficult. 30mins well spent.

Good spot conveniently located close to the peak and climbing areas

Good place for a decent hike in nature's freshness. Not too far from Melbourne, making it a decent choice for one day trip. Not very scenic but nice calm green hike away from city buzz.

Part of the Macedon Rangers, this is a great area to look over the range. Short but steep climb to the lookout from the carpark.

Beat the tourist traffic at the top and start the hike from this Carpark to the memorial cross. Almost empty track until you get to the cross/cafe :)

Gravel road car park, and is the start of the camel hump climb (or can turn to the main walking track)

Great place for weekend visits

The walk was nor signed and I had to ask someone for directions. Loved that I could walk the dogs with me.

Beautiful Rocky mountain. A must visited place.

Well located carpark if you want to do one of the shorter walks at Mount Macedon.
