Merritts Mountain House

Had a fun experience here! The weather was perfect & the ski lift to the top was totally relaxing watching the beautiful scenery roll by. Everything you need for a great day on the slope. Cafe style food & amenities available at the top.

Great atmosphere, great people. Great spot to take a rest and grab a drink or a bite to eat before heading back up to the top. Even the non skiers/boarders can join the vibe by riding the gondola up.

Lovely place, friendly staff. Food was prepared quickly despite being quite busy when we visited. Perfect place for lunch while out on the bikes for the day. I got the brisket burger with chips.

Attended the Tredbo Blues Festival 2022 ~ absolutely amazing. Capped numbers due to Covid but that didn't detract from the vibe and atmosphere. Will attend again in 2023. A definite Must visit destination 😊

Lovely cosy place after a long and cold trip of chair lift. Loved food and its portions. Yummy pies and sausage rolls. Lpved coffee and hot chocolate too. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors. Nice clean toilets.

Fantastic day up the mountain with a great view of the Snowy Mountains. Saturday's they have the DJ music happening in front of the Corona bar with lots of atmosphere and entertainment.

The food is very much based on what you order. Nachos for example are sub-par but the goulash is amazing. Obviously this place is set-up to serve large quantities of people so set your expectations accordingly. The beer on tap is the way to go and schnappy hour is 2-4 and worth trying a variety of the local faves.

This cafe has a wonderful holiday vibe. The food was reasonably priced and there was plenty of seating. We were fortunate to have glorious weather. Staff was polite and professional. Views were spectacular.

Great place to stop for lunch on the mountain. Favourite food are the nachos (and you must add pulled pork). Try a mulled wine too. Free water is on the side with the Cafe.

Lovely place to hangout, take a break from the runs or to simply refill. Self serve water tap with cups, great chips and burgers, wide variety on food and drinks menu. Wait can be long during peak period ~1230 to 130pm. Plenty of outdoor seatings but does get crowded inside when weather takes a turn.

Great range of options for lunch and a really good atmosphere. They frequently play music on the deck to add to the vibe. But there will be a large renovation in January 2020, so everything could change after that

Amazing place on a cold and snowy day. Coffee is highly recommended as is the breakfast burger. Was a bit of a mix up with our order, staff were super apologetic and provided a Schnapps on the house!

Great beers here! How can you not enjoy a place that serves full steins of beer! Most ski days at Thredbo involve a stop here for a beer and some potato wedges. When the sun’s out it’s a great spot to pull up for a rest and watch people skiing down the slopes.

Great place for food and good rest while spending time riding the mountain during. Hot chocolates here always hit the spot. This place is also family friendly as you can access it without the mountain lift pass from the Thredbo valley terminal for those family/friends accompanying others and wanting that extra snowy experience!

This is such an awesome place with a buzzing atmosphere.
What better than to pop in here to warm your tootsies & enjoy a hot cocoa. Or enjoy an ale & some yummy food. Although I'd recommend the latter apres ski!

This is the family's favourite meeting point during a day's skiing. Great German wheat beers, plus the ubiquitous schnapps, can make it a challenge returning to the village, although the Merritts Chair gives you the easy option if needed.
Easy to strip down to shirt-sleeves on a still, sunny day, although can get very crowded if any of the other chair lifts are shut due to high wind, as happened recently.

Great place for everyone! Extremely busy, expensive but amazing setting. Good food. Warm restaurant! We love it!!
