Amazing amazing experience. We did the walk till Highest peak after the chair lift. You get all day pass and you can do chairlifts as many times, specially the bikers can take their bikes do their bike run and again take the chairlift with their bikes. Beautiful views and breathtaking nature... there is a restaurant up at the end of chairlift and there are toilets there too and also before you go up there are toilets and a take away cafe too.

We really enjoyed our 2 trips on the Chairlift.
Had a lovely walk up to the Summit.
And the weather was kind to us.

A great way to start the climb up to Mt Kosciuszko. Helpful staff. The return journey was a bit frightening for me, due to a fear of heights, but the staff member helped calm my nerves - kudos to her for her patience and helpfulness.

Note: top station only manned from 12.30pm.

Very efficient process of buying tickets and getting on/off the chairlift.
Adult ticket cost $55 which is an all day pass. Having said that the chairlift and Merritt's gondolas operate from 9am to 4:30pm. I used the chairlift to complete the return trip to Mt Kosciuszko summit.

Crucial chairlift to use if you wish to do the 13km Kosciuszko summit walk. The walk begins at the top of the chairlift.
Prices are not cheap, however the price covers you to use all of the chairlifts/gondolas in the premises. Do not wear white or beige pants as the seats on the chairlift can be dirty due to mountain bikers covered in mud also using the chairlift.
When we attempted to take the chairlift back down, there was a mechanical breakdown. It was fixed within 20 minutes but they could have communicated the breakdown and estimated timeline better to the queuing crowd waiting to get down the mountain.
Staff are friendly, laid back but are knowledgeable about relevant health and safety.

Easy chairlift to get on and much slower entrance and exit than your typical ski run lift chair. Great views up the mountain both ways. Peaceful view of the trails.

Wow. A little terrified the first time, especially on the down side. But heaps of fun on the 3rd time around. It is a day ticket so go around as many times as you like, you get to check out the mountain bikers on the track underneath.

This is a great chairlift. I enjoyed my many times riding it and look forward to many more trips up the mountain on this chairlift.

An open chairlift - well managed and extremely patient and helpful staff. It reduces the overall trek by 4 kms. Operates only till 4:45 PM, so hurry your way down from the summit. Amazing views on your way up and down. Not to be missed while you are nearby.

Breathtaking views and excellent service. Bought a one day pass for $55, costs a bit more for MTB. It's bit expensive but totally worth it. The views up and down are amazing and saves you a 2hr trek to reach the top.

All time favourite ❤ Now they have Gondolas 🚠 and you can ride on both Chairlifts and Gondolas from the same ticket as many times you like.

Worth the experience even if you don't progress to the summit walk. The chair is exposed to the cross winds as you ascent to the heights of Eagle Nest. Hopping on the chair lift in shorts and T-Shirt is tempting fate as the weather may look fine from the bottom but, half way up you will meet with the ice chilling wind without warning. If traveling with the little ones, well maybe reconsider this ride and go the Gondola ride. Your heart will be in your mount all the way up otherwise. Slipping off the seat at this age is totally conceivable. This is the longest and highest ski lift in Australia: Be prepared for the 15 minute ride that can be really enjoyable on a lovely day. Once up the top, remember its 15 minutes to get down so keep a close eye on the weather so you arrive back at Thredbo not looking like you stepped out of a freezer and feeling worse for wear. Apply plain logic and you will enjoy your day. The lift closes at 5pm, not 5.05pm but 5 pm. Miss the closure you have a down hill walk ahead of you.

The Kosciuszko Chairlift offers breathtaking rides for both summer and winter visitors. In summer, it provides panoramic views of the Snowy Mountains, while in winter, it's a convenient transport to snowy slopes. Friendly staff and stunning scenery make it a must-visit attraction. Bit pricy in winter but reasonable price in summer and you can ride as many times as you can during your booking period. Can book online or counter and automatic machine at bottom of chairlift.

Without this chairlift you would find the Kozzie hike hard. Going up, it’s a quiet smooth ride that goes for a solid 10-15min
It takes you up past the first mountains and drops you off at the start of the Kozzie summit walk. I would go on this lift even if it were just to see the scenery.

Best ride we had, even though it scraes the hell if you're doing an open cable for the first time. We went up and had a great trail walk, the views are amazing. The trail is all on board walk so it's easy but long and has mnay uphill parts.

I would've enjoyed the experience if i would be alone or with some other adult. But i was with kids. Elder kids enjoyed but i had a toddler who i carried on my lap. Chair lift is not very safe for toddlers i think. Managment should tell people if they are carrying little kids on their lap. It was our very first experience and we didnt know that lift will be that long and higher from the ground.. other than that it was awsome. Scenic beauty was breath taking. On top cafe was very nice and cosy. Food was good and prices are good too...

Chairlift transporting to the upper level. During the trip, we can enjoy looking at beautiful sceneries below. White snow route, skiing paths, trees and a snow-covered bridge.
