River Inn

Great stay at the River Inn, we have been returning customers for a few years. Location is the best in Thredbo, room was clean and warm and staff friendly and hospitable. Another enjoyable week!

Fun, Fantastic, Full of life!!!

Had the best time staying at this hotel. The people and the vibe of this hotel will bring me back every time. Yes, it’s not perfect but hands down the best experience I have had travelling in the last 20 years. The staff are kind, courteous and very personable.

The Ozsnow team are there make your time super fun. And Jarred from Ozsnow was an amazing host, welcoming, engaging and super fun.

If you are want an experience and love meeting people and having a good time, this is the place to be. The team are experienced and use to working the snow season and happy to be hear and it shows, adding a great vibe to the hotel.

I will even bring my kids back here, 7 and 8 years old. As the people here are not back packers and there is a higher level of respect for others than you would not find at a backpackers. It is quiet after 6:30, and by 8:30 every one is asleep.

The food reviews for this, I find overly harsh. Food is functional and everything you need. Boiled eggs in shell, hash browns a little beaten up and bacon. The food gets cold quickly. But it is what it is. There is also cereal, muslie yoghurt and fruit. And for what it is it does the job, I have had worse. But it is vibe and take.

The pizza during the week is amazing and good value for Thredbo. $30 for a pizza is enough for two. The weekend meals are different you have a choice of roast meats, veggies and potato bake which was very good. Food I would rate 6/10 as the pizza and loaded fries were awesome.

For Inn, I can say that it's pretty nice and comfy. It seems that they've done some renovation because the car pet's comfy and looked new. Today is my first visit and will go back for my next visit from Indonesia. Thanks River Inn.

Just spent the weekend here, must say the place is very clean and tidy. food was very nice and the staff were awsome, Especially tom and Charlie absolutely down to earth and so helpful couldn't recommend this place more il definitely be back. A big thank you for a great weekend.

The River Inn was fantastic. Right on the snow, the rooms were decently sized, there were plenty communal areas to sit back and relax after a big day. The staff are helpful and fun. The Beer Garden was the best thing I have ever experienced. The relaxed yet crazy environment was definitely what differed the River Inn from the rest. Everyone staying there felt at home. The food was amazing too.

Amazing location and very cosy rooms. Just what you need with such close proximity to skiing!

Loved our stay here! Best part was the location. The inn is ski in ski out, which means that the ski lifts are literally in your backyard. This made it really easy to head for the runs, head back to your room to rest a little, have food then head back out for more skiing! Staff were really friendly as well. I thought the food was pretty good. Presentation was very rustic/cafeteria style but the taste was pretty good. Nothing fancy but hey, we're here for the slopes. Most runs in the mountain were accessible despite still being early in the season. Also equipment and clothing hire are all onsite which made things super convenient.

Such an amazing place to stay. Clean room and ensuite. All the guests were greeted with a smile by the staff. Professional yet friendly staff.
Despite the COVID situation, they managed to offer good breakfast, simple yet filling.

Would definitely come back.

You can't beat the location. It opens directly onto the Gunbarrel chairlift and Friday Flats. Good dry room for ski equipment.

Parking is in the overnight car parks, a bit of a walk but there is an area at the entrance to unload luggage.

Not enough noise insulation between rooms, probably due to connecting doorways.

Meals are buffet style but you can order from the bar (the menu is pretty good and the pizza is excellent).

Great bar, Good beers, and friendly staff. Fun balcony with DJs and the occasional live band.

Five star location, room was cosy and warm with a nice snowy view out our window. Staff were great, entertainment was awesome, food was good. Ski in ski out is amazing! Have never experienced this before, would highly recommend for families, couples, friends. Thanks for having us, we will be back.

This is a great cheap hotel close to Friday Flats but close also to the bars and restaurants. The food was reasonable although when its busy it does not get replenished fast enough for the amount of people that are staying there. It has a relaxing feeling, but not sure what it would be like in the peak season.

Wow! Such a fun place to stay! I came here with a group of friends for OzSnow. Great facilities, lovely staff and the bar/patio is the best way to unwind from a day on the slopes (lift is literally footsteps from River In). Thank you for a great weekend - I'll be back!

Stayed for 3 nights, peaked season. Great place to stay, right on Friday Flat. Clean and decent sized rooms. The place has many services that you will need when skiing and snowboarding.

After enjoying Easter 2022 mountain biking at Thredbo, our accommodation stay was hassle-free, all were helpful and made us feel welcome

I have been to so many hotels and none are as great as this!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming!! It is also in the best location in thredbo!! Even though it can get a bit noisy at night this place still deserves a 5 star!!

We got married at the River Inn in May 2014. Everyone there - from Vicki who managed it, Matt in accounts and especially Nicolle and Meyer who helped us out over the weekend - were fantastic. They looked after everything but most importantly made us feel welcome and a part of their family. We couldn't recommend them highly enough!!! Thank you River Inn!!!

Great location, everything was smooth too. The breakfast is very simple though. Overall, recommend!

The Best location at Thredbo.
Yummy food, nice staffs and convenience facilities(spa, ski locker etc.). If I come to Snow mountain again definitely will stay in River inn. Thank you OZ snow.
